Senior Inspection and Corrosion Engineer. Vietnam. Contract role

DIVISION: Technical Division

Requirements:

  • Work Experience : - Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance or inspection of refinery or petrochemical plant specified in static equipment and piping.
  • Qualification: A degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • Conversant with ASME design codes and API inspection standards and failure mechanisms in Refinery such API 571, API 510, API 560, API 570,
  • API 575, API 582, API 583, ASME IV div 1&2, ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.G, and B31.8, EEMUA 159, NORSOK.

Skills:

  • Understand clearly about computerized maintenance management system, SAP, and inspection database system.
  • Understand the risk evaluation philosophy (RBI) and its application.
  • Understand and apply correctly the Vietnamese regulation for inspection.
  • Understand in principle how to evaluate and select appropriate type and method of inspection in accordance with threats to integrity.
  • Experience in the piping stress analysis to ensure the safety and integrity of piping system.
  • Technical Inspection report writing
  • Job holder is required to have a minimum English skill level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop the preventive inspection plan and updating to computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and Asset Performance Management (APM) system for equipment & piping, and monitor Refinery in service as required by Vietnamese regulation and international standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity and understanding of principle and operation of units in relation to technology process. Review the design drawings and comment on material selection, piping integrity, assembly, and corrosion mitigation.
  • Checks calculation of retiring thickness and predicts remaining life, check calculations for determining permissible working pressure and temperature, and prepares the required action to update the inspection plan.
  • Analyze inspection findings/abnormal conditions and recommended remedial measures for incident. Then, assign the risk & inspection factor to Risk Based Inspection.
  • Make inspection report to management
  • Develop the inspection plan for unplanned shutdown or as required by Vietnamese regulation.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance planner and Operation to receive information/WO and share with Site Engineer.
  • Support Inspection Leader to generate shutdown inspection work list for plant turnaround. Supervise the progress of preparation and recommend actions to achieve the turnaround preparation schedule.

Plant Operator

Our client is looking for an Operator in Saskatoon, SK.

*This is a 3 month contract paying $25.52 per hour*

The OT expectation is up to 20 hours per week.

Depending on job level, duties may include:

  • Loading and unloading trucks with asphalt or emulsified asphalt products
  • Heating and unloading railcars of asphalt or other bulk liquids
  • Operating and maintaining equipment including pumps, mills, forklifts, other mobile equipment.
  • Receiving, shipping, storing, blending and heating asphalt, emulsion and chemicals used in manufacturing of emulsified asphalt
  • Boiler supervision
  • Production of emulsified asphalt products
  • Order taking from customers


Core Responsibilities:

  • Product handling including loading, unloading, heating and blending products
  • Ensuring safe work practices and adhering to company policy and procedures including understanding and following HOIMS rules and policies. Maintain personal training matrix and safety scorecard compliance
  • Production of emulsified asphalt, includes preparing raw materials, milling and performing quality control checks
  • Order taking
  • Proper completion of inventory and shipping documentation
  • Maintain all equipment in a proper and safe manner


Must have qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Power Engineering certificate to level of facility employed (3rd or 4th) Note that there is a steam ticket premium.
  • 0-12 months minimum experience in manufacturing or industrial operations role
  • Basic PC proficiency and proficiency with Word, Excel, E-mail and SAP

This will be a 3 month turnaround contract.

Purpose:

To provide support to the Process Team and Turnaround Team to effectively and efficiently execute the Catalyst work and all associated scope during the 2020 Medicine Hat Turnaround in accordance with the Turnaround objectives and standards.

  • Provide support to the Process Team and Turnaround (TAR) Catalyst Team, as required.
  • Monitor and track catalyst unloading and loading activities including the replacement of the reformer catalyst, hydrodesulfurization catalyst, and methanol synthesis catalyst.
  • Supervise all assigned personnel including Employees, Contractors and Vendors, ensuring that resources are always adequate to complete the established scope of work.
  • Review job packages, spare parts, equipment and materials for quantity and quality and provide feedback to Planning, Process and TAR Team.
  • Review all procedures applicable to catalyst offloading and loading.
  • Review all RC and permitting requirements and ensure that they are in accordance with procedures and standards.
  • Liaise with the Site Services Coordinator to ensure that equipment and site services are available when and where required.
  • Understand schedule and timelines for assigned work orders and direct who does what when, in order to comply with the schedule. Provide status updates to the Planning/Scheduling Team each shift for catalyst activities.
  • Ensure timesheets are completed accurately for the proper allocation of charges per Work Order and turned in each shift by sub-contractors
  • Assist as needed with various other turnaround activities.
  • Recommend minor changes to catalyst unloading and loading procedure to effectively and efficiently execute the Catalyst Works.
  • Employee and contractor compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
  • Effectively communicate current activities and policies.
  • Ensure implementation of and compliance with all HR policies and procedures, including performance optimisation.

Duties: Lease Operator Operator Operator for a contract opportunity. This position will be responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment.

Operator Responsibilities
Preparing for and performing maintenance, taking readings, and doing rounds Issuing work permits, following procedures, and initiating work requests Writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups. Proactively monitoring well and equipment performance, and take appropriate action to maximize production. Working with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.). Interfacing with Engineering for data gathering requests. Tracking test compression data and conducting fluid levels with echo meter.
