Our Client Development Manager (Newfoundland and Labrador) will develop our existing client relationships and create an initial client base from which to generate vacancies and placements. The individual will be responsible for the overall growth, development and profitability of the region along with maximising Petroplan's profile and brand across Eastern Canada.

Is this role for you?

  • You will have extensive experience of client development and/or account management

Your immediate responsibilities will include:

  • Daily passive and active candidate sourcing
  • Communicating across the globe on a daily basis
  • Creating and developing relationships with candidates and clients
  • Networking
  • Screening candidates and matching them to vacancies
  • Advertising vacancies using relevant job boards etc.
  • Driving sales through building long term relationships
  • Sourcing and selecting candidates against vacancies
  • Hitting placement and KPI targets

About you:


You will have:

  • 6 months - 2 years relevant recruitment or sales experience (preferably within oil & gas)
  • OR a recent graduate with a related qualification and some relevant work experience


You will:

  • Be able to gain people's confidence, put them at ease and develop relationships quickly
  • Be persuasive and persistent
  • Be of smart appearance
  • Have good organisational and administrative skills
  • Have excellent IT skills - a working knowledge of LinkedIn is preferred
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Have a good eye for detail, presentation and overall high work standards
