RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and documentation of Transfer Pricing models for cross-border intra-group transactions in multiple jurisdictions
  • Evaluate and assess legal entity financial information including detailed analysis, reconciliation and reporting of global financial and intercompany data for global transfer pricing compliance
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the global business blueprint and value chain analysis for Transfer Pricing purposes
  • Monitor transfer pricing methodologies, compute and document transfer pricing adjustments and year-end entries
  • Assist in the preparation, review and maintenance of benchmark searches, economic, risk, and functional analysis for various types of transactions using Transfer Pricing software
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of international transfer pricing standards and new regulatory requirements
  • Assist in transfer pricing planning and research initiatives as required
  • Assist in the quarterly and annual transfer pricing review and audit queries as required
  • Assist in drafting of internal policies, controls, and procedures
  • Maintain records of Transfer Pricing agreements and documentation

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Business or Economics related degree
  • 3 years of experience and proficiency in Transfer Pricing

  • Considerable knowledge of performing market studies and industry research
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Petroplan is hiring for a Staff Accountant for a Major Oil and Gas Company in Houston, TX
The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for performing a full spectrum of financial, regulatory, reporting and accounting assignments including preparation of complex financial reports and related financial analysis in the area of fixed assets and other assigned areas of accounting.
Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for recording cost of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation and amortization, and accounting for disposition of fixed assets.
  • Track all costs that are capitalized to determine when assets or projects are completed and when assets are ready to be placed into service.
  • Prepares reports related to fixed assets and assets under construction both for external and internal reporting purposes, e.g. fixed asset roll-forward.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
  • Works with specified budget owners on actual costs vs budget and verifies accruals needed in the month.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including the tying out of GL asset account balances to the fixed asset sub-ledger.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes where needed.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Review of external financial statements for accuracy and tie out.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to technical accounting research in the area of fixed assets for both USGAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or related business administration field.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other professional certificates/advanced degrees are preferred but not required.


Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of related public or private accounting experience. Requires public and/or professional accounting experience preferably in the area of fixed assets. Both USGAAP and IFRS experience desired but not required. Experience with internal control documentation and control self-assessments preferred.


Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:

  • Excellent accounting and financial skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including Executives.
  • Working knowledge of other Microsoft products such as Exchange, PowerPoint, etc. also a plus, (SAP and BPC experience preferred).
  • Proficient in analyzing large amounts of data in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Ability to estimate and form conclusions and depict future courses of action based on the available financial details.
  • Excellent communication skills and can communicate well with all departments in order to ensure that the accounts are accurate.
  • Able to work with high accuracy and has the ability to work with high precision.
  • Able to meet deadlines and may have to put in extra hours and work under stress.

  • SAP Experience (strongly preferred but not required)

Petroplan is currently hiring for a Contracts Advisor for a major Oil and Gas Company in Houston, TX with relocation to Saudi Arabia.

The Contracts Advisor primary role is to serve as the Contract Proponent representative in the development and administration of contracts in assigned organization. In addition, the Contracts Advisor provides contractual expertise necessary to develop, maintain and administer various contracts and amendments simultaneously. Provides input on related contract actions (i.e., actions required to administer, extend, renew, and terminate the contracts). The value of individual contracts developed by an incumbent is between $500,000 and up to $100 million.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction/Project Management or closely related fields. An advanced degree is acceptable.
  • Mnimum Five (5) years' experience in Contracts Administration, contracting techniques and must be familiar with contracting strategies with three (3) years in related to Construction work in commercial, light industrial, institutional, residential development projects and or multifamily residential projects. International experience highly desirable.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract type services and evaluation of alternatives that may be technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative.
  • Develop, in conjunction with Contracting professional, analysis and technical qualification of bidders.
  • Support in the development of the scope of work for various contract services.
  • Develop contracts status reports for executive management.
  • Participate as the contract proponent representative on the Bid Review Team charged with development of a realistic Company position on contract terms and the negotiation of these terms.
  • Assist in the preparation of professional analysis or development of bid responses, negotiation offers and counter offers.
  • Assist in the preparation of verifications of contractor cost and escalation or de-escalation amendments.
  • Forms part of negotiating team, comprised of Contracting and contract proponent representatives. Prepares responses and helps to represent applicable proponent on Claim Review Panels.
  • Provide or assist in the provision for proponent representation in the administration of contracts and participate in the development of financial and technical advice, intent of contract language, scopes of service or other clauses that may impact cost and cost/benefit relationships.
  • Support in providing justifications and recommendations for changes in contracting procedure or contract format for management approval.
  • Perform periodic examination of Contract Administration in the field in order to locate shortcomings or potential problems in the administrative procedures or contract terms and conditions.

This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently with good decision making skills while gathering and analyzing complex data from a wide range of sources. The source of data includes but is not limited to leases, contracts, division orders, title opinions, curative and other such related documents.

The position requires someone knowledgeable about the upstream energy business who regularly acquires knowledge of industry practices, trends, regulations, laws, rulings as they pertain to our core business activities. This position requires someone skilled in all facets of ownership including various interaction levels with internal and external business partners.

This person in this role must possess strong analytical skills, computer skills and advanced knowledge about the use of core computer applications along with related applications that support our Project and business effort. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
*Responsible for processing a high volume of transfer of interests in SAP while adhering to strict deadlines.
