Topsides Project Controls Coordinator

This position will be accountable for the management and coordination of all cost, planning / scheduling, change management, project accounting, document control, risk and interface activities as well as project reporting for the Topsides scope and will be accountable for all progress measurement from a cost, schedule and quantity surveying perspective. In addition, this role will be accountable for the review and reporting on all aspect related to the Topsides scope, including, but not limited to Engineering, Construction, Hook-up and commissioning.

This role will also be required to develop and support the reporting requirement used to steward monthly scope, cost and schedule performed metrics and ensure proper maintenance of the cost and schedule elements within established guidance and work instruction documentation. Also supporting overall management of monthly program level reporting such as accruals, cost forecasting, progress measurement, trend analysis, change management documentation in compliance to established processes.

The successful candidates will support the Topsides Integrated team, Topsides Project Director, Project Services Director and Project Services Snr Manager and in addition, be required to provide leadership and ongoing direction to the Topsides project services team.

Facilities Engineer - Oil & Gas

Petroplan is currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities Engineer to work for a growing and reputable oil and gas company in the DFW area. The primary focus of this role will be on uptime, focusing on keeping production on from the well including water disposal/injection, separation, well testing, tankage/vapor recovery, CO2 recycle/gas lift compression, etc.

This includes CO2 floods, water floods, and conventional production on all company assets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assigned to the business unit for planning, scoping, estimating and executing various projects

  • Provide engineering services to the business units, overseeing design and installation during the construction phase

  • Manage capital/LOE project spend and budget as it relates to surface facility work

  • Performing "Lookbacks" on the execution of facility activities and identifying lessons learned

  • Working directly with Operations, Production Engineering and Reservoir Management in activities generated from capital programs

  • Optimize the surface oil, gas and water production facility performance including developing/implementing engineered solutions for issues that may be limiting production, productivity, efficiency and general operability of the asset

  • Troubleshooting oil field production systems and equipment while monitoring pressures, temperatures and rates throughout the system

  • Act as point of contact for Maintenance and Construction Staff in managing the day-to-day operations

Key responsibilities:

Our client, a market leading Owner / Operator, are currently seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join them on a long term contract basis in Nigeria. This role, will ensure the efficient Commercial delivery of a new Gas Processing Facility in Nigeria, in which our client plan to build and operator. We are seeking a candidate with a strong Gas project background with Reduction of Flared Gas experience.

Responsibilities:

  • To negotiate all major contracts (gas sale and purchase agreement, liquid/LPG sale and purchase agreements, gas interconnection agreement, etc);
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, at all levels, from local communities to regional heads of development institutions (World Bank etc.);
  • Together with the technical team, support the development of the project specification, Development plan, conceptual/basic engineering, FEED and detail design;
  • Together with the Technical Team, coordinate with all international and local Statutory & Regulatory authorities and related third parties to ensure that requirements are complied with and incorporated into the ongoing project development;
  • Establish a staffing plan for all phases and locations maximising local content (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning);

  • Have a considerable amount of experience in plant commissioning, startup, troubleshooting and normal operation.
  • Responsible for support of Shift Supervisor and supervision of the DCS Operators, Lead operator, Field Operators together with Shift Supervisor. The Advisory Operator (Shift Supervisor) works very closely with the Shift Supervisor to convey their instruction to all operators. They report to the Deputy Section Manager on an administrative level.
  • Responsible for continuous evaluation of the operators to ensure that they fully understand and effectively carryout their responsibilities.
  • Develop the operation tasks lists, operation rounds and validates the day-to-day maintenance plan.
  • Ensure permit to work compliance, appropriate job safety analysis, and ensure that all equipment meets required safety specifications and standards.
  • Monitor the operating conditions constantly to ensure the quick resolution of abnormal operational situations.
  • In the event of any incidents, evaluates the root causes and determines remedial actions and
  • involves the section manager, deputy section manager and shift supervisor when necessary.
  • Take the lead in emergency response situations, in close cooperation with the shift supervisor
  • and deputy section manager.
  • Administer the shift team, including overtime, leave requests, shift swaps and the vacation schedule as well as monitoring operator training and generating development plans and performance appraisals.
  • Participate in the development of training programs as well as building up the operation team and ensuring their competence for the tasks in the assigned area.

Job Related Competencies

Our client is an incredibly impressive, onshore operator, who is looking to expand their exceptional Financial Reporting team by bringing on an experienced SEC Reporting Manager.

SEC Reporting Manager Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: leading the preparation of all the companies SEC filings, coordinating the SEC review process with company management, and leading special projects.
  • Responsible for the supervision of multiple accounting analysts on the team, as well as providing leadership and development to the team.
  • Looked upon as the subject matter expert on E&P accounting and SEC rules and regulations.

SEC Reporting Manager Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • No less than 8 years' of experience, with public accounting a must have.
  • CPA is required, with SAP and Wdesk experience being preferred.

Finance Associate

Major Function

Involvement in finance raising activities for upstream oil and gas projects and corporate/asset acquisitions. Involvement in analysing and assessing company-related investments. Research, analysis and financial modelling. Assisting in the preparation of detailed presentations, documents and reports for senior management.

Essential Functions

Involvement in Finance raising and investment activities

  • Candidate will have undergone investment bank analyst training programme or equivalent and have a solid grounding in accounting, corporate finance, valuation and knowledge of securities and financial markets which they will be able to apply to day to day activities.
  • Able to apply knowledge and experience in project and corporate finance to company activities and projects in these areas.
  • Work closely with other parts of the Company (e.g. legal and upstream teams) in such matters.
  • Liaise with external parties (such as banks, lawyers, consultants) on relevant matters representing the firm in a professional capacity.


Research, analysis/recommendation and report writing

  • Conduct high quality research into markets and companies.
  • Prepare reports, research papers, strategic analysis and presentations of a sufficiently high standard to assist in decision making by senior management and external parties.


Financial modelling

  • Able to build and maintain complex financial models (in excel and other appropriate software packages) to assist on-going projects with minimal supervision
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the company's financial strategies and ensures compliance with regulations and the overall Group Financial policy.


Working Relationships

  • Maintains excellent and supportive relationships with all staff and attends Company events.
  • Builds and maintains excellent relationships with a range of external advisory firms and promotes oneself professionally in the UAE.


Continuous Improvement of Position

  • Conducts regular research and studies to enhance industry knowledge by attending work related conferences particularly within the Energy Sector as well as attending relevant seminars on Finance, Legal, Industry and work related subjects.



Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required

  • Bachelor degree with honours (2:1 minimum) in a quantitative subject such as Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or Physics from a top tier university.
  • Professional training in accounting, valuation and modelling (as part of investment bank training scheme or equivalent).
  • CFA, MBA or Post graduate degree from top tier university desirable.



Minimum Professional Experience Required

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity environment, with at least several years of working in the oil and gas sector.
