To provide reporting and analytical support to the business and specifically the department to which assigned.Review in detail the cost base of the department, understanding cost drivers, work schedules and impacts on in month and full year costs.
Work with the department managers and ELT member; provide support in the collation of the annual budget and in year forecasts.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Professional Qualification i.e Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or MBA Finance or working towards a similar qualification
  • Experience Profile:
  • 5 Years' experience in a similar role and similar sized organisation.
  • Oil and Gas experience essential.
  • Working experience in Oracle essential.
  • Competencies/Skills/Others:
  • Ability to understand the technical side of things on a high level to better assist the Business Manager.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with people of different technical skills and culture.
  • Ability to convey finance information to Non Finance background staff and managers.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team with more than one manager.
  • Ability to prioritise amongst various demands and work well under pressure.
  • React and adapt to changes and new developments in a positive manner.

The Head Finance shall be responsible for all the financial activities of the company including budgeting and cost control, accounting, auditing, taxation, book keeping, feasibility studies for new countries, reporting and statutory compliances.

Responsibilities:

AREA

TASKS

Overall Management

  • Overall responsibility and overseeing all finance functions
  • Ensure financial planning and reporting systems
  • Ensure company's compliance in statutory matters
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and policies
  • Assume responsibility as signatory to project and treasury bank accounts

Policies and Procedures

  • Formulate, review and guide policies and procedures for the Finance, Human Resource and IT Departments
  • Ensure adherence to Finance Departments' policies and procedures

Financial Planning

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process of the company
  • Oversee and guide the Vice President Treasury in funds planning (short term and long-term)

Funds

Disbursement


Fund Management

  • Ensure adequate availability of funds for the company
  • Monitor and review investment portfolio of the company
  • Monitor and review borrowings of the company (monitor the cost / availability)

Accounting and Book Keeping

  • Ensure accuracy in preparation and reporting of financial statements
  • Oversee timely completion of financial statements and related disclosures
  • Ensure reporting is in accordance with regulatory/credit agreement requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Interact with tax experts and provide inputs on tax planning

Track & Report Performance (MIS and Budgetary Control)

  • Preparation of budgets and periodic reviews thereof
  • Track project progress, project cash flow and the working capital utilization
  • Ensure that financial reporting, internal and external, is completed according to corporate guidelines, as per prescribed formats (MIS)
  • Oversee and guide modifications in MIS reports as per business needs

Self Development

  • Attend seminars/ training programs to keep abreast of the latest policies/ trends in economy and technology
  • Build expertise in financial restructuring, treasury, and capital markets

Administrative

  • Ensure compliance with recommendations set through the internal/external auditors

Qualifications, Experiences & Skills,

Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 20-25 years Finance Management experience, including 3-5 years of senior level responsibility
  • Exceptional hands on functional expertise
  • Broad sourcing and purchasing knowledge
  • Proven analytical ability
  • Solid understanding of impact on business decisions
  • Proven leadership and problem solving skills
  • Solid record of delivering results

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated ability to boldly present strategic plans and gain support from company Executives.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, influence, and stand up to business leaders in order to move plans forward.
  • Proven success in cost savings for organizations in order to fund growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of company strategy, senior management, & what motivates them.

Our client, a major Oil & Gas Owner / Operator, are currently looking for an LNG Commercial Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will offer an excellent salary and relocation package for the successful candidate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Successfully monitoring of the Commercial Performance of Operator assets.
  • Negotiating of supplier agreements.
  • Development/review of policies, strategies and budgets.
  • Assimilation of company ventures and strategies.
  • Economic analysis and Commercial asset management.
  • Resolving of ongoing Commercial Issues.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10 years of related Commercial experience.
  • Oil & Gas Owner / Operator employment history.
  • LNG project experience.
