The Regulatory & Compliance Snr Analyst is primarily responsible for performing regulatory activities, providing analysis and support of the Clients compliance activities, and day-to-day administration of compliance issues. This position supports the Director-Regulatory & Compliance to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements applicable to the Client. The Snr Analyst will also monitor new and changed regulations and alert the Director of same. This function also will be responsible for interpreting regulations and their applicability to the organization; determines operational impacts of the law and leads the implementation of such regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Additionally, the Snr Analyst-Regulatory & Compliance, acts as a supportive liaison between the business units and the Regulatory & Compliance function. This role reviews contracts and agreements for appropriateness and works with the Director to ensure comprehensive coverage of applicable regulatory requirements. The Snr Analyst-Regulatory & Compliance role will also require a working knowledge of the applicable rules, regulations and policies of key jurisdictional agencies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy (DOE/FE) and the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
This position will be located in Houston, TX.


Responsibilities:


Develops, oversees and clearly communicates the overarching regulatory strategy that balances the needs of the Client and is consistent with the corporation's long-term business vision.

Understands regulatory structure of the industries in which the Client operates and competes.
Develops relationships with internal/external stakeholders that influence strategic regulatory and business issues.

Assists the Director with various strategic regulatory projects and issues.

Works closely with various functional groups (Operations; Commercial; HSSE; Engineering, etc) to ensure the organization operates in a manner consistent with all applicable regulatory agencies' rules, regulations and policies (FERC; DOE/FE; EIA, etc.).

Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of a quality assurance program that ensures processes, policies and procedures operate in an effective and efficient manner and meet all service level agreement and other applicable regulatory performance standards.

Evaluates contracts to meet regulatory approval; works with legal counsel as needed; and submits form filings for regulatory approval.

Monitors filing inquiries from regulators, prepares response letters, and modifies contractual forms as needed until final approval is received.

Researches and interprets regulatory requirements of new products.

Assists the Director with the on-site coordination of all non-financial regulatory surveys and exams.

Provides updates and explanatory materials on laws and regulations changes/updates to impacted departments.

Assists in partnering with departments to define and implement policies, processes, procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Assists with the development of regulatory policies, procedures and related compliance tools.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in physical or biological science, engineering, business or related subjects

5-10 years of progressive experience in regulatory and compliance within the U.S. legal and regulatory system. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy/natural gas industry. (Interstate natural gas pipeline/utility experience a plus)

US Lab Director - Wastewater Treatment Technology

Our client is a newly created and high growth organization that is revolutionizing wastewater treatment solutions for a variety of industries including: Oil & Gas, Mining, and Industrial Facilities.

In this newly created role, you will report directly to the COO and the Global Director of Technical Services and will be responsible for the leadership, the development of the laboratory, and building the team. You will develop the practices and procedures and implement new processes as needed. You will develop and manage testing procedures and develop new wastewater technology solutions and applications. Additionally, you will have the ability to partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise, presentations and proposal assistance as well as develop new client specific applications.

Candidates will ideally have a Master's Degree in a Science related discipline, with a PhD being preferred. You will have 10 years of relevant experience and have managed a laboratory and must have demonstrated experience within waste water treatment processes. You will have strong technical skills but also be able to commercialize technology and create new applications.

Technical Built Environment Planning Officer

Petroplan are looking to recruit 2x Technical Built Environment Planning Officers on a full Permanent staff package, working Monday to Friday in London.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive the company's Built Environment Planning offer, working alongside the Lead Technical Director to capitalise on our impressive client list.
You will be a work winner in your own right, with an appetite to unlock and develop new and existing client opportunities and relationships. You will also play a key role in evolving the wider planning team by developing and monitoring junior planning staff.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional advice on a range of planning topics to a variety of clients; therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
You will have a fantastic working knowledge of all local planning legislations and a strong background in the delivery of projects. Equally, a strong track record of project management would be an advantage as the structure lends itself to the delivery of an integrated offer to clients.
We undertake planning and environmental services across a wide range of sectors; therefore you will ideally have experience in and practice across all of these. You should also be experienced in providing the lead advice in client meetings and presentations, and will play an important part in business development

  • Demonstrable consultancy based Planning experience focusing on the Built Environment sector, and excellent knowledge of local planning legislation
  • Business development, team management/growth and project delivery expertise gained within Planning Consultancy
