Continuous Improvement Leader

General Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Leader reports to the General Manager, with matrix reporting to the corporate Director of Lean/Continuous Improvement. This role will function as a dynamic change agent to aggressively lead, or direct business improvement projects using lean and/or six sigma tools. The Continuous Improvement Leader will provide guidance and training, and will facilitate projects to achieve sustained improvements to critical manufacturing and transactional processes. The Continuous Improvement Leader will ensure projects are aligned with regional and corporate strategic goals and will manage projects to ensure completion to schedule. This role of the Continuous Improvement Leader is a key individual contributor.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage projects and prioritize targeted areas of opportunity across the corporation for eliminating waste and reducing variation
  • Facilitate value stream mapping, kaizens, continuous improvement, lean thinking, cycle time reduction events, set-up reduction, TPM, 5S
  • Provide training, leadership and support for kaizen events across all levels of the organization
  • Maintain and keep current detailed project plans
  • Motivate and direct cross-functional teams to achieve desired results through skillful application of the Lean methodologies
  • Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts in manufacturing and transactional process settings
  • Mentor and coach employees in lean and six sigma initiatives
  • Establish appropriate metrics and controls to facilitate easy maintenance and sustainment of improvements
  • Develop standard work, templates and training programs for Lean and six sigma
  • Acts as a key liaison for site regarding alignment with the corporate Goal Deployment Process Collaborates with leadership in the selection, prioritization and deployment of Lean Six Sigma projects and kaizen events
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement, develops a project plan for implementing improvements, and monitors the revised process to ensure it meets objectives
  • Conducts regularly scheduled project reviews to ensure the achievement of expected results.
  • Measures and monitors quality, cost reduction, and schedule metrics
  • Coordinates, collects, and reports project results for the organization
  • Conducts advanced data collection and analysis for lean and six sigma projects



SUMMARY OF KEY REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Required: Academic/Education Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering, science, business, or related field and 5 years' experience implementing Lean tools to achieve process improvement
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or demonstrated equivalent experience



Contractual Requirements if any

  • Must be able to travel 10% of time



Other Certifications / Affiliations

  • Knowledge and experience with tools such as value stream mapping, kaizens, continuous improvement, lean thinking, lead time reduction, 5S, Setup Reduction, TPM

  • Demonstrated change management expertise and ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels and positively transform the organizational culture to adapt to improved processes and performance metrics
  • Strong analytical skills used to keep projects on track, overcome barriers, and deliver results
  • Comfortable working in both manufacturing and office environments
  • Experience leading groups and influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with multiple disciplines such as manufacturing, engineering, or quality

The Network Architect will be responsible for management and maintenance of the companies' IT LAN/WAN network environment and potentially Rig Network and Industrial Networks. It will include the participation in and oversight of the daily upkeep and administration of the companies' network infrastructure. This position will also be responsible for the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the companies' network infrastructure and architecture.

The Role in more detail

  • Proactively monitor the IT network and Industrial network connectivity and work with various teams and vendors to resolve network issues promptly.
  • Ensure Network standards, guidelines and procedures are compliant with frequent auditing.
  • Review trend reports to evaluate where the bandwidth is being consumed and determine if rig bandwidth needs to be upgraded or eliminate unnecessary traffic.
  • Investigate network outages, high latency, and high utilization. This person will be able to read and interpret network performance statistics and suggest solutions for higher bandwidth utilization.
  • Ensure the security, integrity and compliance of the IT and Industrial Networks.
  • Responsible for daily operations of network engineering maintenance task with a proactive approach in solving problems.

What our client is looking for:

  • Electronic Technology / Electrical Engineering / Computer related degree preferred;
  • 4 years network engineering with both routing and switching
  • CCNP, CCDP, Network or equivalent (CCIE R&S Written and/or lab a plus)
  • Strong Network Architecture background in IT networks
  • Network Architecture experience with industrial control systems (a plus)
  • Good design experience with wire run, switches and routers covering distances measured in 100s of feet with different media
  • Understanding of Industrial Network technology (SCADA, Siemens, Rockwell Automation or ABB ICS) (a plus)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding and troubleshooting network issues over VSAT and other WAN technologies
  • Riverbed Steelhead administration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to configure routers and switches to secure specifications within a repeatable engineering processes
  • Be willing and able to be on call for emergencies

HRIS Workday Manager

We are seeking a HRIS Manager to join the team in the UK London office. The HRIS manager will partner with HR Business Partners, HR COEs (HR Operations, Total Rewards and Learning & Development) and IT to support existing systems and operations and execute on projects per the HRIS strategic roadmap.

This role is a permanent staff position based full time in London.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Serve as the EMEA HRIS lead managing ongoing system enhancements in Workday and e-days
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to HR Business Partners and HR COEs in service delivery
  • Lead HR system projects utilizing a system implementation life cycle methodology
  • Develop HR systems training materials and conduct training
  • Provide day to day systems support including troubleshooting data and systems issues, recommending solutions and implementing enhancements and fixes in systems per change control guidelines
  • Work with vendor, HRIS and IT on managing system releases and testing for HR Systems
  • Partner with HR Analytics team on delivering integrated reporting solutions
  • Drive continuous people, process and technology improvements
  • Directly manage HRIS contractors and provide them with guidance

Knowledge & Skills:

  • BA/BS degree with systems experience required. HR systems experience required
  • Hands-on Workday Core HCM, Recruiting and report writer experience required
  • Working experience with e-days or equivalent absence management solutions highly desirable
  • Good project management, cross-functional team collaboration and vendor management skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast pace dynamic environment
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems and familiarity with EMEA compliance requirements
