Intelligent Oil Field -

Department : Non-Operated Oil Development Dept.

Primary purpose of job :

The IOF System Architect designs Intelligent Oil Field (IOF) system architecture to deliver Operations Excellence as per IOF Program.

He/she performs analysis of business requirements, identifying technical specifications and translating these into technical architectural system designs.

This role will focus on design and implementation of solution architecture primarily using IBM technologies (In-memory databases), integration technologies (ETL, data interfaces, OPC) and Business Analytics (AI/Big Data /Data Mining).

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive hands-on experience in designing and implementing enterprise solutions/architecture (experience with ARIS, TOGAF preferred).
  • Experience in IBM technologies such as In-memory databases (dashDB), integration technologies (IIB) and Business Analytics (Cognos, SPSS, Hortonworks Hadoop).
  • Experience in troubleshooting system performance bottlenecks and devising solutions to enhance user experience.
  • Oil and Gas industry and technical know-how of Intelligent Oil Field, Big Data and Real Time Business Analytics would be preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to management, customers, contractors, and staff.
  • Highly motivated and have high degree of confidence, reliance and interdependence to work across different departments and functions.
  • Willingness for learning new technologies and have a hands-on ability to create and apply technical designs, integrations and presentations

Head of Asset Protection & Emergency Response

Work effectively with QP/ISND Management and all personnel related to design, planning, execution and assessment of security & emergency response systems to address operational and security emergencies. Maximizes value of HSE by reducing likelihood and magnitude of incidents and liabilities. Includes provision for communication, response, evacuation, training & drills. Ensuring the availability of Emergency response equipment's and Systems

Principal Accountabilities

  • Administers the Emergency Response management program at Navigation Plaza, Ras Laffan and all offshore facilities.
  • Provides guideline and supports QP/ISND Emergency Response organization
  • Provides/ Coordinate trainings on emergency management/response, security issues to QP/ISND personnel and QP/ISND Management.
  • Advice Management on emergency management issues.
  • Develop and conduct emergency drills and exercises for all aspects of emergency response including outside agencies. Ensure close-out of identified corrective actions.
  • Develops and tests plans and procedures for emergency management including oil spill, Medivac, Fire / explosion, Blow-out and security events.
  • Provide guidance to the Onshore and offshore Emergency Response teams.
  • Ensures QP/ISND follows current regulations and local statutes.
  • Implement emergency management requirements to meet QP and industry standards.
  • Maintains emergency response equipment including Emergency Response Coordination Center(s) and resources.
  • Responds as required and serves as technical advisor in determining on-scene equipment/resource requirements, deployment strategies, etc. in an event
  • Serves as technical advisor to the Emergency Response Coordination Center and provides technical assistance within QP/ISND.
  • Act as Focal point for Tier-2 and Tier-3 Incidents.
  • Conducts studies, analyses, and identification of credible emergency events considering demographics, evacuation routes, Mitigation control and procedures, employee awareness.
  • Ensures that site/facility & Emergency Response Coordination Center notification, alert and evacuation systems are in place and adequately maintained.
  • Coordinates with A7S, local authorities, Coastguard and related ministries;
  • Attends national committee meetings (e.g. Offshore Mutual Security Committee)
  • Maintains emergency evacuation / POB data / warden system / cascade system / keeps information updated.
  • Participate and contribute in the HSE task groups, meetings and forums as directed by the Management
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant subject or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience- Min 10 years' relevant experience, broad knowledge of Offshore oil & gas operations, Credible emergency scenarios and response systems

Head of Process Safety

Primary Purpose of the Job

The primary function of Head of Process Safety is to provide oversight of the client Risk group and provide safety and risk engineering support to all departments. Leads efforts to quantity operational risks for existing and new installations. Head of Process Safety is also responsible for the support, development and implementation of client Risk Management programs.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Serve as the subject-matter-expert (SME) with regards to the requirements and programs to manage the Asset's HES risks
  • Lead/participate in process hazard reviews such as HAZOPs, What-If's using applicable methodology to advise Asset functional departments in resulting actions and measures completion
  • Assist departments in process design reviews and identification of issues at conceptual stage and serve as the HES Risk lead for projects
  • Participate/Conduct dispersion modelling and facilitate facility siting and detailed quantitative risk assessment studies
  • Review and validation of hazard identification studies and HES risk assessments
  • Lead the development and implementation of tools to analyze HES risks and exposures
  • Conduct/manage QC self-audits of HES Risk Management Programs to provide an evaluation of efforts to comply with Company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Manage/Conduct HES Risk Management training for Asset personnel
  • Participate/support Asset process safety/risk related incident investigations
  • Support the development and implementation of optimal HES risk mitigation strategies and methodologies.

  • Post Graduate degree or professional certificate in Q / E / OHS
  • Certified Lead Auditor by IRCA or equivalent Int'l Register in Q / E / OHS is a plus

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Degree in engineering discipline (preferable Mechanical or Chemical)
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in HES risk management and loss prevention, preferably in oil and gas operations
  • Excellent analytical skills and high degree of computer literacy.
  • Excellent report writing skills and excellent verbal and written command of English, Arabic would be an advantage.

Primary Purpose of the job
Supervises and provides direction on air quality, waste, water and endangered species management roles and responsibilities. Participates in strategic planning activities for environmental issues and develops fit for purpose environmental compliance programs.
The Sr. Environmental Engineer is responsible for supporting the Head of Environmental in relation to the environmental elements of the HESMS program including the protection of the environment in the workplace. Participates in activities relating to environmental issues resulting in continuous measurable improvement and implementation of fit-for-purpose environmental compliance programs.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Office based position supported by field visits, interacting with all company departments and contractors to perform work in conformance with HSEQ policies, procedures and industry good practice.
  • Execution of role may include travel to contractors / suppliers / fabrication yards / field construction sites.
  • Support Management in the development of HSEQ MS within the IMS documents and coordinate system(s) development cross-functionally
  • Establishes and maintains the Environmental Aspects within the HSE Risk Register
  • Develops, records and publishes KPIs including audit findings and compliance assessment relating to HSEQMS to identify patterns in performance and / or recommend improvement of HSEQMS
  • Provides environmental permitting support for proposed development projects
  • Ensures the management and implementation of a Comprehensive Environmental Management Program Environmental Plan (Manual), Waste management, Oil Spill, HAZCOM
  • Identifies environmental issues/concerns and develops environmental plans and requirements
  • Leads development of annual environmental-related goals.
  • Leads internal and external assessments (self-assessments, disposal sites and commercial laboratories, etc)
  • Conducts investigations into HSEQ MS failures
  • Establishes Environmental HSE system training programs to ensure that all staff are aware of requirements
  • Reports environmental performance to Management
  • Support compliance with HES requirements, maintaining environmental permits, coordinating Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Data collection for emissions inventory reporting, reporting of any spills, Tracking and reporting of ozone depleting substances
  • Assisting with implementation of an oil/chemical spill response plan.
  • Coordinating the sampling, monitoring and reporting on environmental parameters of water and soils as applicable.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Sick Bay Management- proper layout, fitting and equipment of the medical facility where they operate and assist in placing relevant orders for medical equipment. Maintaining the sick bay in a clean and organized state of readiness at all times.
  • Primary Care- Providing clinic services for minor illness or injury including relevant clinical assessment, treatment, and regular follow-up of all cases. Ensuring appropriate referral of cases that have not resolved.
  • Health Education & Health Promotion- Presenting information to employees on healthy lifestyle (alcohol, drugs, smoking, diet, weight control, exercise, etc) or other health-related topics
