Location: Qatar/ Doha

Contract: 3 years residential

Department

Department - Drilling & Completions.

Division - Planning & Contracts.

Section - Cost Control & Budget.

Primary purpose of job

  • To develop, manage, supervise, and monitor the Drilling & Completions (D&C) Department operational and 5-year business
  • Plans and budget in line with the international industry standards
  • Manage and supervise all Department's monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and all VU Departments Contractor's

Experience & Skills

  • At least 15 years oil industry experience in drilling and operations engineering with at least 5 years in a Drilling Operations
  • Engineering role with well site experience and 5 years in a supervisory role relating to drilling activities management, drilling contracts management
  • At least 5 years mastery of budgeting and business planning, financial systems, variance analysis, cost allocation and accrual process. All related to drilling & completions operations
  • Understanding of contract and tendering procedures from preparing the tender to awarding the contract.
  • Strong negotiation skills to negotiate with contractors and others for all related contracts

Education

  • Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering Discipline plus extensive petroleum industry courses

Primary purpose of job

  • To prepare and manage the Drilling & Completions (D&C) Department operational business plan and budget execution in line with the international industry standards, the company Management and the company corporate / QHSE policies requirements.
  • Prepare all D&C Department monthly, quarterly and annual reports as well as departmental KPI's.

Experience & Skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English language.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills together with excellent computer literacy.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in drilling and operations engineering including:
  • 4 years field experience as drilling operations supervisor
  • 2 years experience in drilling activity management.
  • 2 years in business planning & budgeting.
  • 2 years in drilling contracts management.

Education

  • Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering Discipline plus extensive petroleum industry courses

Solutions development & Commercial Excellence

Commercial Excellence:

  • Work with Commercial teams of Container Shipping, Logistics and Bulk Shipping to understand and support business opportunities and deliver solutions based on requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of sales and bid process, sales capabilities and tools and supporting systems
  • Conduct sales management meeting
  • Ensure process alignment between commercial, operations, finance and legal departments for any major commercial projects / tenders etc.
  • Drive design, implementation and continuous development of the CRM system in close coordination with the commercial managers
  • Conduct sales and pipeline analysis and identify upsell, cross sell opportunities and potential development for adjacent products (in coordination with Solutions Development Analyst)
  • Support budget, strategy and investment planning


Solutions Development:

  • Drive/ guide the BU's on new business opportunities with existing customers for new scope of activity and retention/renewal projects - provide both project leadership and solutions design support.
  • High levels of interaction with customer in conjunction with the sales and operational leads to position the ongoing solution development into a commercially attractive, winning proposition
  • Work with Business Units and Key Account Managers to support creation of account development plans for each existing customer, focusing on achieving 100% success in renewals and creating profitable organic growth through the delivery of new products and services with a revenue target per annum.
  • Thoroughly understand the business activities of for major customers and existing service portfolios, to identify business development opportunities
  • Drive RFI/RFQ process from solution perspective including pricing to support sales
  • Apply specialist knowledge of markets and industries to support the sales efforts to new clients, including supporting with tenders and sales presentations


Education:

  • Master's degree in business management / economics / supply chain

  • Experience in maintaining accurate master data(unit conversion, Purchase order and price unit, vendor item price and discount, manufacturer part number, vendor record and rating criteria, RFQ evaluation
  • Maintain various templates for LC request, competitive bidding, contracts and costing
  • Help in developing multiple vendors/sources for purchase needs
  • Engage with vendor with clearly defined scope and requirement in purchase order, PO life cycle event, order approval etc, maintain PO delivery dates in ERP.
  • Process Purchase requisition & RFQ with best vendor selection & recommendation, cost/budget performance, feedback & status monitoring.
  • Candidate must have very good communication skills.

  • 3-5 years of Experience in similar position in Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing company(Wellhead & Valve)
