Petrophysicist - Unconventional (Expat)


Our client is looking for a high caliber Petrophysicist to join the company on a long term residential basis in Saudi Arabia.


Job Scope


Conduct all tasks related to petrophysical characterization using a combination of data sources including well logs, cores, remote sensing surveys and geologic analogues.

Build and implement robust workflow for integrated Shale/Tight gas plays formation evaluation, including developing new techniques/models and writing codes (programming).

Conduct regional petrophysical studies and make recommendations to drilling, completion and reservoir engineering groups.
Integrate all data sets into consistent, verifiable petrophysical models for incorporation into static and dynamic reservoir models (volumetric prediction and development planning).

Minimum level of experience is 15 years. US unconventional experience in preferred.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Unconventional Resources Planning & Performance Management Division (UR P&PM).

The UR P&PM division provides finance, accounting, and planning support to Unconventional Resources operational departments encompassing drilling and stimulation, seismic, facility planning, and production operations. In this highly visible role, UR P&PM routinely interacts with representatives from Saudi Aramco Finance, Corporate Planning, Upstream and Supply Planning functions.

Your primary role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to support operations and ensure financial accountability in accordance with company guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.

You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

You must possess demonstrated experience in accounting, budgeting, planning, performance management, capital management, expenditure analysis or related finance and accounting functions. Prior experience with shale/unconventional gas operations is strongly preferred.

You must possess working knowledge of applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

You should hold relevant professional certification - CPA, CMA, CA, CGMA, CAPPA, or equivalent. Master Degree is a plus.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. SAP knowledge highly desired.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following duties:

Perform analytical and staff accounting functions in the areas of revenue recognition, cost management, budgeting and performance management.

Support monthly close process and related reporting activities.

Compile and consolidate financial information for use by management.

Prepare and analyze capital cost for Asset managers.
Assist in profitability analysis.

Be proactive and promote a culture of continuous business process improvements.

Provide mentorship and guidance to other UR analysts.

Corrosion Engineer

Petroplan are assisting a world leader in hydrocarbons exploration, production, refining and distribution in their search for Corrosion Engineer to be based in one of their offices in Dammam.

Key Duties

  • Provide expert advice and assistance to your assigned team, vendor manufacturers and design firms on corrosion engineering matters
  • Monitor corrosion monitoring programs and corrosion monitoring devices
  • Review cathodic protection (CP) performance and pipeline corrosion management (scraping/ILI)
  • Lead investigations into operational facilities and advise on actions needing to be taken

Ideal candidate

  • 15 years' experience working in the Corrosion Engineering Field (including 5 years as a technical engineer)
  • Recognised understanding of ASME, ASCE, ASTM, API, NACE, SEI codes
  • Experience in Unconventional Resources favourable but not essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Process Engineer

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer, to work on a permanent basis in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams producing presentations, studies and reports.

The successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Provide daily technical support to the Maintenance and Operation departments to troubleshoot and fix process equipment.
  • Develop the engineering designs packages for the new installation and upgrade projects.
  • Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities.
  • Participate on the testing & commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).

Essential Experience & Skills

Essential

  • At least 10 years of experience in the industrial operation facility.
  • Shale gas facility is preferred.
  • Also, has a good knowledge of the Modular skids mounted process unit.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry standards and procedures such as API and ASMI codes.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, MS is preferred.

A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential
