Our client, a leading Operator Oil & Gas organization is looking to add an Optimization Operator to their team for a 1 year contract to start in Loving, New Mexico.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract (No LOA)

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor/Optimize artificial lift including plunger lift, intermitters, capillary string/soap injection, velocity string, well head compression, rod pump, and gas lift etc.
* Responsible for the successful implementation of the iOF/iOC core workflows.
* Monitor production from a centralized control room and optimizes accordingly.
* Participate in daily iOF/iOC collaboration/optimization meeting.
* Generate and validates daily recovery plan.
* Generate work notifications and material requests.
* Comply with HSE policies, procedures and complies with applicable regulatory policies and procedures.
* Provide oversight and control of stabilization units, trunk-line, central facilities, and production control.
* Conduct intelligent alert management, forecast management, and model management.
* Communicates any work priority changes necessary to the MSO.
* Assist in overseeing the operation and optimization of lease facilities.
* Responsible for the successful implementation of the iOF/iOC production surveillance and optimization plan.
* Provide input and guidance for field-wide operating strategy.
* Provide updates and guidance on operations, maintenance, and down-hole activities for the area.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
* Interface with Engineering for data gathering requests.
* Manage the production and downtime events in area of responsibility to minimize repeat failures.
* Update Well-view resulting from changes in well bore equipment.
* Ensure lease-hold wells are produced to maintain leases.
* Assist in correcting production discrepancies in Avocet.
* Assist with meeting OPEX LRP Budget.
* Add value through cost improvement opportunities.

Key Qualifications

* 2 - 4 years of experience of well optimization experience/exposure
* High School Diploma
* Previous experience with artificial lift including plunger lift, intermitters, capillary string/soap injection, velocity string, well head compression, rod pump, and gas lift etc.

Lead Process Design Engineer (LNG)
Petroplan's client, an international engineering group in Houston is seeking an experienced LNG Lead Process Engineer to work on and provide technical assurance/leadership on assigned LNG projects in both the liquefaction and regasification spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership and oversight of process engineering work being performed on assigned projects, including review of engineering deliverables for conceptual, feasibility, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Process heat & material balance (HMB) design and preparation of project HMB deliverables.
  • Prepare and develop BFDs, PFDs, UFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Maintain master copies of all process documents and enforce management of change (MOC) during process document revisions.
  • Prepare and develop process design criteria and basis of design documents and contribute to the project design basis.
  • Perform piping line sizing and hydraulic calculations.
  • Perform pump NPSH, flashing, and cavitation analysis/calculations.
  • Perform flare load capacity requirements.
  • Perform emergency depressurization calculation and studies.
  • Prepare emergency shutdown (ESD) hierarchy drawings.
  • Develop Material Selection Diagrams (MSDs) based on project requirements.
  • Develop process specifications and process philosophies.
  • Perform calculations for utilities; instrument air, nitrogen, sea water, fore water, etc.
  • Perform sizing calculations for control valves, pressure relief valves, flow restrictions, flow elements, etc.
  • Prepare process descriptions and process control narratives including complex loops.
  • Prepare process cause & effect diagrams.
  • Prepare process operations manuals.
  • Prepare process alarm and trips setpoint summaries
  • Coordinate and schedule process engineering activities on assigned project.
  • Review and approve process deliverables.
  • Develop, review, and participate in the bidding of equipment procurement activities, engineering services and technical contracts.
  • Track performance and compliance of assigned work as per project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and development to staff process engineers on assigned projects.
  • Develop and review of process design standards/philosophies.
  • Participate and actively contribute to scheduled design reviews; HAZID, P&ID, HAZOP, PHA, PSSRs, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to interface and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
  • Support the technical review and closeout of critical MOC activities for assigned projects.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • P.E. Certification (Texas) a plus but not required.



Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of project experience in process design with at least 5 years in LNG and Regasification process facilities.
  • Previous experience as a Process Lead, team leader or supervising others.
  • Experience in LNG plant commissioning and operations is highly desirable.


Skills

  • Strong technical competency in process engineering including knowledge of liquefaction and regasification.
  • Experience in the basic scope and design of utilities systems; safety systems, instrument air, nitrogen, water, fuel gas, drainage, etc.
  • Familiar with the hazards of hydrocarbon processes, cryogenic services, and the methods used to keep process facilities safe.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations and their implementation in LNG operating facilities.
  • Experience in man-hour resource planning and budgeting.
  • Experience and desire to participate in the growth of a developing technical organization.
  • Proficient in process simulation software; UniSim, HYSYS, ProMax, etc.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, overseas offices, and governmental agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the practical and effective interpretation, implementation, and execution of both Process Safety Management (PSM)/Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations
  • Participate in internal and external PSM/RMP Auditing Program
  • Participate and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) on both exiting processes/facilities and capital projects
    Participate and lead incident investigations
  • Act as the primary technical expert for Management of Change (MOC) Program
  • Interpret the modeling of hazardous chemical releases and use the modeling results in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs), capital project reviews, emergency planning, and compliance with internal PSM guidelines
  • Work with key stakeholders to evaluate the technical, safety, and regulatory impact of proposed equipment and process changes as it applies to PSM
  • Maintain working relationships with refinery managers and directors
  • Identify compliance needs and recommend value-added and technically feasible approaches to compliance with PSM/RMP standards, so these are also protective of personnel, company property and the community
  • Track and report key PSM/RMP performance metrics

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science related field applicable to petroleum/chemical industry

Experience

  • Five (5) years or more of progressively responsible experience in a refinery or petrochemical engineering setting required
  • Experience in Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), or incident investigations required
