QC Dimensional Inspector - Houston

Petroplan is currently accepting applications for a QC Dimensional Inspector to join a well known Oil Field Service company. This great opportunity is contract and located in Houston Area.
Prospective candidates will be responsible for performing inspections on different components, perform source inspections at facilities, maintain and update related documents, etc.
Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience within QC Inspection
  • Previous experience working within Oil & Gas Manufacturing Facility
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications and requirements
  • Ability to pass dimensional inspection training and tests
  • Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drilling equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of API 8C, 6A, and 16A requirements is also a plus

Planning and executing project tasks.

An individual with ideally 10 years plus experience in security. Someone who has ICS experience. A strong preference for candidates with security certifications.

Petroplan is recruiting for a Receptionist on behalf of a North Houston based oil & gas client to manage the front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This is a long term contract position.

Description

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for the company. Duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

Ultimately, a Receptionist's duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. Working for a busy organization, multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
  • Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email

Position Summary
The Cost Engineer will provide the Project leadership team with complete analytical support for cost reporting, forecasting, budget reconciliation and performance measures of the project.
Responsibilities

  • Provide project control support to the Project Leadership team which may include cost reporting, cost reconciliation, change management, project status reports and various other project related activities
  • Review cost estimates for all aspects of the project providing direction to external service providers as required to ensure complete and robust estimates in accordance with project cost coding and management requirements
  • Analyze financial information and recognize variances, trends, and irregularities and understand the causes/driver
  • Establish and execute controls to proactively support, monitor and communicate budgets, actuals and forecast
  • Recast Budgets as required during the execution phase of capital project for proper reporting
  • Report and analyze project progress using an earned value basis
  • Collect data, inputs, update and produce standard management reports, Actual vs. Budget and /or forecast
  • Create and customize project control tools/systems to meet specific project reporting requirements
  • Research unexpected items and resolve inaccuracies
  • Demonstrate attention to details with a focus on accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and commitments
  • Work with the Project Team to ensure that the timelines and/or objectives of the project are met
  • Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes

  • Proficient in extracting data into Excel and using graphs, formulas, pivot tables, etc. for reporting and trend analysis
  • Knowledge of commercial contracts, how to apply terms to selective material and subcontractor invoice auditing
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data for commitments, direct actuals and forecast cost to go
  • Ability to deal with technical and non-technical persons and explain technical concepts and analysis in simple terms
  • Ability to communicate with a range of people - both internally across all levels, and external stakeholders
