Electrical Engineer


Responsibilities

  • Renewable Energy Plant Design: Design medium and high voltage renewable energy plants, including preliminary, final, and executive drawings and layouts, as well as sizing.
  • Grid Connection Optimization: Analyze, study, and optimize connections to the electricity grid, managing relationships with ENEL Distribuzione and/or TERNA.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze historical production and irradiation data.
  • Plant Modeling: Model plants using software such as PVsyst and PVcase.
  • Project Optimization: Perform technical analysis of projects to optimize photovoltaic system performance and verify installable power.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for connection requests to Terna and other suppliers.
  • Interconnection Procedures: Manage interconnection procedures to the electricity system and negotiate interconnection contracts.
  • Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with Terna and other suppliers to manage the company's connection points in the country.
  • Authorization Preparation: Prepare documentation and plans for obtaining necessary authorizations.
  • Permit Discussions: Engage with Public Administration staff to secure permits.
  • Permit and Contract Management: Elaborate, coordinate, manage, and negotiate the main permits and contracts for project connections.
  • Technical Documentation: Draft studies and technical documentation in coordination with the technical team, including production studies, drawings, and budgets.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
  • Software Proficiency: Ability to independently use CAD and GIS software.
  • Language Skills: Minimum B2 English language proficiency.
  • Professional Registration: Registration in the relevant professional register is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the authorization process and design of medium and high voltage energy production plants, preferably from industrial-scale and utility-scale renewable sources.
  • Plant Architecture: Experience defining the architecture and layout of industrial-sized and utility-scale renewable plants, as well as assessing PV energy yield.
