Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Petroplan are pleased to be recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading player in the solar energy sector, specializing in photovoltaic (PV) development. Committed to delivering top-tier solutions, operates across the entire solar PV value chain, spanning development, construction, and ongoing operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects assigned.
• Conduct comprehensive project quality control, including budget, schedule, and plan oversight, and regularly report project status.
• Collaborate effectively with the project manager and other team members, providing technical support as needed.
• Provide or review engineering deliverables and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Solar Tech and Project Management matters.
• Develop project scope of work and design standards.
• Manage energy production and performance modeling for PV and energy storage systems.
• Sign technical documents and maintain regular interaction with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in PV utility-scale (MT/AT) design.
• Possess a chartered engineering degree.
• Previous experience as a project engineer or design engineer in solar projects.
• Ability to work on multi-discipline projects.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in team management.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and reporting skills at all internal and external levels.
• Familiarity with industry rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
• Fluent in English - a requirement for the position.
