Job Description

We are excited to welcome a talented Desktop Engineer to our Information Technology team at the
Cameron, Louisiana LNG plant. Our Desktop Engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless
customer experience, understanding client needs, and providing valuable assistance for various
technology systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting Microsoft Windows Devices: Your primary responsibility will be to provide support
for Microsoft Windows devices, ensuring they operate efficiently.
* Apple Desktop Support: You will also extend your expertise to support Apple desktops, making
our IT environment user-friendly across platforms.
* Plant Technology Systems: You will contribute to the support of various plant technology
systems, including ACS, VoIP, CCTV, Radio, and more.
* Office 365 Administration: Managing Office 365 administration tasks, including Desktop Apps,
SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange, will be part of your routine.
* Conference Room AV: Supporting conference room audiovisual systems will be essential to
enhance our collaborative capabilities.
* Patch and Application Deployment: You will be responsible for patch management and
application deployment using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools such as InTune, Jamf,
Desktop Central, or others.
* Monitoring and Backups: Keeping a watchful eye on system monitoring and maintaining
backups will be integral to data security and reliability.
* Additional Duties: You will assist with other duties as assigned, contributing your technical
expertise to various IT initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Education: A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer or Information Sciences is required.
* Experience: You should bring at least 1 year of experience supporting Apple user environments
and 4 years of experience supporting Windows user environments.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential to interact effectively with endusers and the IT team.
* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to tackle complex desktop issues
efficiently.
* Office 365: Proficiency in Office 365 is required to handle various administration tasks.
* A/V Skills: Experience with audiovisual systems will be beneficial in supporting our conference
rooms.
* LNG Plant Experience: Any experience supporting IT technology at an LNG Plant is a plus.
* User-Centric Approach: You should enjoy working with end-users and have a passion for
resolving desktop-related challenges.
* Networking Knowledge: A working knowledge of TCP/IP networking will aid in troubleshooting
and maintenance.
* Physical Requirements: This role may require lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs, and walking
considerable distances outdoors.
* Certifications: Holding an Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) and/or Apple Certified iOS
Technician (ACiT) certification is advantageous. Similarly, a Windows Desktop certification is a
plus
