Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead safety engineering efforts for offshore projects, including design reviews, hazard identification and risk assessment.
Develop and implement safety engineering standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Conduct quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), including consequence modeling, frequency analysis and risk mitigation planning.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on safety-related matters, including design modifications, process safety reviews and safety case development.
Review and assess safety-critical systems, equipment and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend risk reduction measures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, petroleum) or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 13 years of experience in safety engineering roles, with 7 years in the Offshore oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of safety engineering principles, risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
