Petroplan are seeking a Site manager who shall be posted at site in Dubai.

Post is expected to last 15months 6 months during warranty period. Must have a minimum of 20 (twenty) years' experience of similar assignments of Open cycle Gas turbine project.

Consulting Engineer site manager to co-ordinate and supervise the works and to ensure implementation of the works fully in conformity with the agreed Contract Specifications. The site manager shall have the overall responsibility for all site activities of the Works including but not limited to site inspection, erection, co-ordination between different Contractors and Employer, site safety, quality, interface management, etc. He shall report to the Project Manager.

The Site Manager shall also be responsible for all the commissioning activities related to Mechanical, Electrical and l&C scope of works of the project. He shall be multi-disciplined and shall be suitably qualified with adequate experience (minimum 20 years in various plants) in the commissioning of gas turbines. He shall also be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the entire commissioning activities. He shall prepare commissioning procedure guidelines for Employer's review and approval. He shall expedite issue of submission of all Contractors' commissioning documents; approve them and co-ordination of all interface works.

Description:

  • Leads contractor and site reviews/audits/inspections on a regular basis
  • Ensures program requirements are being met by employees and contractors in the field including but not limited to safety training, ect
  • Plans, schedules and arranges all field and management safety meetings and maintains records (minutes) of the same
  • Keeps abreast of all government regulations pertaining to health and safety standards that may have an impact on MOCL's oil and gas operations. Apprises management and operations personnel of any health and safety issues that may impact the business and recommends programs and strategies that will adequately respond to these issues
  • Investigates all safety incidents and infractions which involve personnel injury, property damage, theft and vandalism.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and, where appropriate, reports on measures that will prevent the re-occurrence of the incident. Responds to incidents/emergencies as required
  • Ensures that employees and contractors in the field clearly understand the Company's safety programs, as well as the consequences of failing to comply with established rules and regulations
  • Oversees the preparation of various safety reports
  • Liaises with various field regulatory agencies and officials, such that MOCL management can be kept informed of safety issues that are relevant to its activities

  • Ensures all designs are in compliance according to industry practices and standards.
  • Understands general manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Performs design analysis and calculations when required
  • Maintain drafting production schedule for a variety of drawings while maintaining deliverable efficiency

  • Associates Degree in Design/Drafting or related discipline
