Reporting to the Turnaround Project Controls Lead, the Scheduler will implement and manage schedule delivery for the Turnaround and provide overall project schedule and progress measurement expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute schedules for the Life Extension Turnaround

Sr Project Engineer - Marine

Our Client who is a leading Oil and Gas company are currently looking for Sr Marine Project Engineer to work in St. Johns, NL on a long-term contract basis.
As a senior team member, the Senior Project Engineer - Marine will provide oversight to multiple marine scopes to ensure the standards, processes and procedures established for the project are being followed. Working closely with the project services team, you will ensure change management process is followed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the conduit for all change management documentation for the marine scope
  • Provide technical advisory to marine team to ensure best practices are being applied
  • Reviewing and commenting on technical documents, procedures and project management documentation
  • Maintain the marine risk register and participate in risk assessments
  • Participate in technical and project management meetings with contractors and other team members
  • Act as a leader, mentor, and escalation path for 2 direct reports
  • Some international travel may be required (to Europe or USA) once every month or two to support the project; travel will be reimbursed as required.
  • This role is not entitled to any daily LOA as they are seeking a candidate local to the St. John's office.


Must haves:

Dimensional Inspector Job Description

  • Inspect parts using comparators, calipers, gauges, scales, and vision prior to shipment and visual quality assessments
  • Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities
  • Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements

Our client, a mid-sized operator within the Oil & Gas Industry, have a need for an experienced QA Manager to aid with the construction/expansion of their petro-chemical facility near Lake Charles, LA.

Ideal candidates will come from a strong construction background with experience of developing and implementing quality manager systems related to QA/QC.

Job Overview

The Project QA /Manager (PQC) will oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of the project, as delivered through its contractors and vendors. The PQC will develop and maintain the Project Quality Assurance Plan in accordance with the project specifications, governmental regulations & standards, and additional requirements established by the Project Management Team.
The PQC is charged with ensuring that the project meets the quality requirements set forth by the Project Management Team, within the Project Execution plan and that quality documentation is can demonstrate that the asset is safe and ready for start-up.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Reviews contract scope of work, specifications, Project Execution Plan and identifies unique requirements or special processes during the project which require control for effective examination and reliability.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Project Quality Assurance Plan for the project that is compatible with the Project Management Team and any relevant entities in the project, including vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Manage Project Quality Assurance activities and assist the Project Management Team in the required planning for quality control activities of its contractors and vendors across the project phases.
  • Ensure that Quality Objectives and metrics are set for measuring the performance of the Project tams and its subcontractors and that these are regularly reported and reviewed.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate quality resources necessary to effectively execute the Project Quality Assurance Plan for the construction and commissioning of the Plant.
    • Responsible for assigning site quality inspection resources.
    • Administers the vendor inspection process though the assigned inspector.
    • Assures through proper utilization of resources and audit verification the effective execution of the Project Quality Plan.
  • Ensure that all subcontractors, vendors and suppliers used by the Project Management Team are evaluated from a quality perspective and that records of this assessment are maintained.
  • Develop quality reporting to management level
    • Communicates with management and project team on progress, issues, risks, costs and schedule impacts relative to project quality.
  • Initiate quality planning for the project to assure compliance first time through proactive and preventive measures
    • Using existing document control procedures, approve, review and update changes to critical documents within the scope of the project.
  • Develop an overall quality audit and verification program for the project.
    • Conducts inspections, audits, and surveillance to verify implementation of quality assurance/control requirements.
    • Prepares and compiles data from audits, identify non-quality trends and advises project management on the effectiveness of the Project Quality System.
    • Liaises with the QC/NDT/Certification Personnel to ensure that quality no conformances are addressed and technically resolved.
  • Liaises with Company teams in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning/start-up and Operations to ensure quality requirements are fully understood and integrated into the various subcontractor contracts and quality management systems.
  • Liaises with subcontractors and vendors as required in order to ensure quality management systems and controls are in place and are fully operational
  • Liaises with the certifying authority on documents specified to seek verification, assessment and appraisal of their conformity and fitness to the codes and regulations in order that asset integrity can be demonstrated on paper at or prior to RFSU
  • Promote the awareness and enforcement of project quality requirements throughout the Project Team including subcontractors and vendors.
  • Coordinates the capture and compiling of all equipment records and files needed to satisfy the asset integrity and process safety requirements of the project.
  • Evaluates the schedule throughout the project and makes appropriate adjustments to ensure quality deadlines are met for the project.
  • Monitors the constructed site for quality assurance, tracking and reporting on the status of inspection activities and maintain daily records of activities completed.

Experience / Education

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in construction, including five years construction management experience.
  • High level of knowledge and experience with the development and implementation of quality management systems as they relate to quality assurance and quality control.
  • Knowledge of applicable building, construction and quality codes and standards.
  • Extensive prior experience of developing project quality plans covering assurance and control activities for major capital projects.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in all areas of Procurement to the project team, delivering the procurement of Services, Materials and Equipment in an effective and timely manner.

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional HSE Advisor for their deepwater Gulf of Mexico operations.

In this position, you will act as the focal point for all drilling safety while on the 6th generation rig. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Serving as the primary contact for the operator for EHS and provide general EHS support and coordination to the OIM and Safety Department Representative (SDR).
  • Analysing Drilling HSE data to identify trends and make recommendations where you feel performance could be improved
  • Implementing training and coaching on the rig
  • Being heavily involved in actively reviewing all HSE documentation

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' of recent experience working in the Gulf of Mexico on MODU rigs.

The Deputy Project Business Manager will assist the Project Business Manager with the development, management and administration of Project Business Services - insurance, tax, procurement, assisting with employee logistics, contract administration and compliance, legal affairs, commercial negotiations, project risk management as well as financial and commercial reporting and analysis.


Duties / Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Business Manager with the following:

* Commercial and financial analysis
* Project cost assessments
* Risk assessment and risk register
* Contracting strategy
* Potential execution options
* Sets up Project account budgets and cost management and accounting system
* Tax strategy and tax accrual processes including interface with the tax department and local Tax authorities - this includes import and export duties and tariffs

Petroplan is currently working with an expansion focused E&P business who are in the process of increasing rig activity. Due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the business to add a highly experienced EHS Supervisor to their Rockies division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the EHS Superintendent and act as the focal point for all EHS field activities. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Providing technical expertise and skills critical to having exceptional value for company's forward-looking success
  • Managing and working with the Health & Safety teams to ensure correct procedures are being followed
  • Being responsible for EHS operational support, coordination, and execution in areas of policies, programs, and procedures, including, but not limited to: company EHS policies and regulatory agency compliance, program development/implementation, hazard identification, incident identification, remedial programs, risk identification/mitigation, and performance measures
  • Position involves around 30% travel both domestic and international

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a EHS supervisor. Experience working in the Niobrara is preferred.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
