Project Control Analyst - Fort McMurray

Petroplan is currently accepting applications to join a well known Oil & Gas company in need of a Project Controls Analyst. This position is located in Fort McMurray area, long term contract and competitive pay. Our client is ideally looking for a local candidate as there will be no per diem.
Prospective candidates will be responsible of working with several departments on day to day project management, particularly in scheduling and cost control. Also, requires the ability to use advanced and up to date integrated project controls software systems for capital projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Cost or Construction Engineering, Business Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the chemical, refining or other industrial manufacturing industries
  • Previous Capital Project experience from working in a chemical plant, a refinery, oil and gas production, construction of major facilities, power generation or public infrastructure is a plus

Project Control Specialist - 4435

Petroplan is currently accepting applications to join a well known Oil & Gas company in need of a Project Controls Specialist. This position is located in St. John's, NL, long term contract and competitive pay. Our client is ideally looking for a local candidate as there will be no per diem.
Prospective candidates will be responsible for working closely with the Operational team including subsea engineering to ensure that any changes to work scope are promptly highlighted within the schedule and budget. Also, responsible for the preparation and stewardship of the annual and long-range budgets, asset plans and associated detailed planning
Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma
  • Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 10 years experience within management of several capital projects along with proven years of Project Control
  • Oil and Gas experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory and offshore requirements
  • Formal experience / training in Primavera, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Control and Cost Planning
  • Knowledge of Cost Platforms (Ecosys, Prism)

Mechanical Planner - St. John's

Requirements:

  • Formal certification (diploma/degree) in Technical Technology, Hydraulics, Pipefitting, or similar
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience
  • Experience with an offshore oil and gas environment
  • Experience working with P&IDs, Isometrics and Control Drawings (Hydraulics)
  • Experience with MS Office and SAP would be an asset

Prospective candidates will be responsible for cross functional team participation, working closely with a variety of personnel providing planning input and may require frequent follow-up to ensure plan details are accurate and current.
Requirements:

  • Formal certification (diploma/degree) in electrical or instrumentation areas
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience
  • Experience with an offshore oil and gas environment
  • Experience working with P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, Heat trace Isometrics and Control Drawings

Equipment Inventory Field Tech

This position will report to Calgary but will required extensive travel to the Edson, Grande Prairie and Rainbow Lake areas.


The schedule for this role is 10 on, 10 off with either 10 or 12 hours per day.

Location Allowance will be provided for travel done outside of the standard home location, for example, if located in Grande Prairie, LOA will be provided for the initial training in Calgary and for work done outside of the Grande Prairie area. If based in Calgary, LOA will only be provided for any time spent outside of Calgary.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a full equipment inventory audit for Western Canada
  • Frequent field visits capturing equipment information and location
  • Validate current information within SAP
  • Capture details on any missing equipment
  • Lead the cleansing of master data from Standard development
  • Data mining job books, MDR's
  • Gather additional information based off inventory needs

Must haves:

  • At least 10 years operational and/or technical background within oil and gas operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset classes, characteristics and processes
  • SAP Plant Maintenance proficiency in relation to equipment inventory
  • A valid class 5 Drivers License and a clean drivers abstract
  • Proficiency within Microsoft office
