Business Development Manager

Petroplan is hiring for a Business Development Manager in the Houston, TX area.
Our client supplies valves to energy clients/projects globally. The customers include major end-users, engineering companies and process package manufacturers. They understand project specifications, how projects change, and the need to deliver on time. Their products, and partner factories, satisfy complex end-user specifications, such as: Maersk and Shell, and are manufactured in compliance with relevant standards from quality raw material sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Develop and implement a sales plan with defined objectives, prepare strategies, budgets, forecast and action plans.
*Report sales activity through regular sales reports submitted to manager on a timely basis.
*Lead sales campaigns for all phases from identifying opportunities to structuring the deal, negotiating, and closing opportunities.
*Partner and coordinate with other other teammates globally regarding projects and sales activities.
*Entertain clients to improve customer relationships, including marketing events *Report on competitor activity to business *Regularly track progress for sales activities/targets and execute the initiatives/actions as established with leadership.
*Plan regular visits to clients in the territory to maintain current business and develop new business.
*Identify and win sales opportunities within assigned area of responsibility *Correctly interpret customers' requirements and offer an appropriate solution from our product range.
*Identify new product ideas based on customer feedback and understanding of market.
*Provide monthly sales forecasting, feedback and planning process to leaders.
*Develop and conduct technical and sales presentations to customers and prospects.
*Manage and coordinate sales efforts with direct accounts and through partnerships.
*Travel to customer sites as needed. Schedule trips, develop itineraries and prioritize calls to ensure maximum efficiency of travel time while controlling travel cost.
*Initiate, engage and follow up with customer contacts and interactions by means of professional written emails, letters, proposals and other business correspondence.
*Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Some College
* 3-7 years of Business Development Experience

Professional/Technical Training and Skills
*Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
*Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
*Effective at presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
*Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages *Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
*Strong analytical skills
*Resilient, friendly and driven *Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, *Excel and Outlook

Our client is a leading US provider of nondestructive testing and inspection services for the midstream Oil and Gas sector. Due to substantial growth and customer needs, we are looking for a Level II NDT field technician to permanently join our client's team!

NDT Level II Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned NDT/NDE tasks, in which they are certified and interpret results of inspections
  • Ensure safety and health guidelines are follow accordingly to the company's radiation safety program and regulations
  • Participate in Company and Client safety programs
  • Report test results and fill out daily inspection documentation as required


NDT Level II Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Level II NDT - RT preferred, MT, UT
  • State/IRRSP Card as applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of field experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug test and extensive background check
  • Must live in general area, be open to travel and being on call

Hot Tap & Stopple Engineer

Our client, large multinational oil & gas organization is looking to add a Construction/Commissioning Hot Tap & Stopple Engineer for a 12 month renewable independent contract. This expat opportunity will be based in Georgia, with a 6/2 rotation. Flights, camp, visas etc. are provided.

This senior individual will serve as a focal point for the pipeline intervention work required for tying in and de-oiling. This includes overseeing all aspects of technical execution, coordinating with inspectors, commissioning managers and construction representatives to ensure proper quality of deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSSE including HSSE values and behaviours with a deep understanding of working in a brownfield live hydrocarbon environment.
  • Support the successful delivery of the pipeline de-oiling and tie-in scope overseeing site works.
  • Support oversight and site technical assurance of relevant consultants, contractors and vendors involved in the de-oiling and tie-in work scope including making hot taps, line stop installation and removal, pigging and cleaning of pipeline and line fill.
  • Assist the de-oiling and commissioning manager, senior pipeline engineer and project engineer in reviewing and advising on work packs, deviation requests and other technical submissions.
  • Providing pipeline project engineering expertise in support of: construction planning, management of risks of activities pipeline engineering.
  • Active participation in project learning cycle.
  • Support project internal and external reviews (e.g. PHSSER, start-up assurance reviews (SUAR), operational readiness reviews (ORR), etc.) as requested and ensuring assigned actions arising are closed out in a timely fashion


Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer (Degree)
  • Professional engineering registration or chartership strongly preferred
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in the O&G construction industry
  • Minimal 15 years in pipeline construction and commissioning supervision
  • Extensive knowledge of International Standards (such as B31.4) which form the basis for pipeline construction project specifications and production methods, quality assurance and welding technology used in Oil and Gas pipeline construction.
  • Profound knowledge of and commitment to field construction safety
  • Deep experience in pipeline construction within extreme environments (e.g. steep terrain, narrow ridges)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in control of work and safety systems in HC and brownfield works
  • Experience in multi-cultural work environments, in particular Georgia and Azerbaijan
  • Senior pipeline and welding inspector credentials (CWI) or experience equivalent strongly preferred

Senior Pipeline Engineer

Reporting into the Head of Pipelines, this role will oversee pipeline design projects, mentoring junior engineers and designers. This is an urgent requirement and there is a strong preference for someone that can start on short notice.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Should be able to prepare FEED & detailed engineering drawings of onshore oil & gas flowlines, trunk lines and pipelines
  • Perform or supervise preparation of Pipeline Design Basis Reports, Pipeline Specifications, Materials Specifications and Procedures, Pipeline Mechanical Design including but not limited to: Pipeline stress calculations, Wall Thickness Calculations, Ground Mechanic Calculations, Upheaval Buckling Calculations, Pipeline Philosophies, Pipeline Material Data Sheets and Requisitions, Material Take Off (MTO Area Classification Studies and Pipeline EPC scopes of work
  • Experience in Development and review of all kinds of engineering deliverables (design basis, Piping specifications, Data sheets, Plot Plan, Equipment Layout, Nozzle orientation, General Arrangement Drawings, Detail & Cross Sectional Drawings, Site Sketches, Isometric Drawings and Etc.)
  • Review and provide engineering input / guidance for Overall Routing Maps and Layouts, Plot Plans, Pipeline Alignment sheets, Pipeline ROW and Trench sections & details, Typical drawings for Line Valve Stations, Typical Drawings for Tie-In sections and details, Third Party Pipelines, cables and Overhead Lines and Detailed drawings for crossings with trenchless technologies
  • Provide quality control checks of all pipeline engineering documents and drawings
  • Familiar with pipeline detail engineering standards, including spacing requirements, accessibility, operation, maintenance, crossings and right of way (ROW)
  • Familiar with the relevant International Standards, especially with ASME B31.4 & ASME B31.8, and able to learn and understand clients standards and specifications
  • Verify that all designs are to required standards and that the objectives of the project are met
  • Review and approve engineering documents/drawings, TBE, PDMS models, other project interface docs/drawings/models
  • Provide assistance in Project Planning, Scheduling, Resources Allocations & Controls, Co-ordination, Progress reporting, Correspondences with Clients, Contractor's & third parties and Etc.
  • Provide assistance in man hours estimation, preparation of discipline deliverables during bidding stage/proposal stage.
  • Experience in participation of HAZOP and HAZID.
  • Ensure Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are complied
  • Ensure that all the produced deliverables are complied with QA / QC and IMS System requirements
  • Provide assistance to other disciplines and participate in review meetings (if requested), in accordance with project requirements
  • Participate in and advice on all design activities and initiatives, including provision of training, inductions and documentation review
  • Verify that the work is completed to the agreed schedule
  • Attends all the company-organised training courses when invited.

 

Competency Requirements

  • Experience in the use of pipeline design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth Pro Maps, CAESAR II)
  • Expert in MS Office
  • Familiar with the relevant International Standards and Codes of Practice and competent in the design, specification and selection of pipeline systems to meet the requirements
  • A fluent communicator
  • An individual with strong drive and vision

 

Technical Experienced Required

  • 12 years of onshore pipelines experience preferably in the Middle East
  • Experience with another international engineering firm ideal
  • Proven track record in pipelines FEED and detailed design experience
