About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced PPA Manager to join our team in Milan. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and a strong understanding of the solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sectors in Italy. This role involves originating, negotiating, and managing PPAs to support our growing renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- PPA Origination: Identify and develop new business opportunities for PPAs in the solar and BESS sectors.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with potential off-takers, including utilities and corporate clients, to secure favorable terms for PPAs.
- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, execution, and management of PPA contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and regulatory changes in the Italian energy market to inform PPA strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including energy producers, consumers, and regulatory bodies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, finance, and legal teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in PPA origination and management, with a focus on solar and BESS projects in Italy.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Italian energy market, including regulations and pricing mechanisms.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiations and contract management.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Italian and English.
- Education: Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
- Familiarity with energy storage technologies and their integration into the grid.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and project financing.
