Our Client is a leading American-producer of liquefied natural gas. The client's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.
The Client is actively seeking a
Planner, Operations Services to join their team to support the Ready for Operations (RFO) Program for their Louisiana-based Assets. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Ready for Operations and will support the development and facilitation of the organization’s RFO program, specific to their various LNG Facilities.
The candidate will lead the planning and build of RFO program as well as multitude of Operations planning initiatives, working closely with internal teams such as Operations, Operations Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, HSE, Regulatory, IT, HR as well externally with applicable stakeholders of the Client's LNG facilities. This position will be
located in Cameron, with requirements for travel as necessary across other VG operating assets in Texas & Louisiana for work purposes.
Key interactions include Texas and Louisiana based team members on the Operating team and the Project team. The ability to effectively interface with other national offices and Site Teams is a prerequisite, with strong interpersonal skills, communication and very proactive, detail-oriented approach.
The RFO Program is the main roadmap for the facility to achieve Ready for Operation milestones. This role is responsible for supporting the RFO Program Coordinators in developing, maintaining, driving, and communicating RFO deliverables database and tracking to completion. Alongside the RFO program build, this role will work closely on building the integrated operations planning worksteam as well as champion ad-hoc planning needs within operations.
As such, the candidates shall have adequate technical, project controls and schedule management & data analysis aptitude and be able to support the development and delivery of an integrated RFO plan, via interfacing, progress update, tracking and reporting for the Operating Assets.
Responsibilities may include:
- Facilitate the establishment and execution of a structured, well-managed and executed RFO plan from end-to-end with a large number of stakeholders.
- Engage with key functional stakeholders and support groups daily to guide and monitor the planning and execution necessary to support timely completion of RFO deliverables (i.e., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Commercial etc.).
- Review RFO deliverables schedules to ensure that the appropriate level of details and structure are applied with effective progress monitoring
- Conduct progress review meetings to co-ordinate, expedite and follow-up to meet RFO goals and objectives between all RFO functional teams.
- Implement tracking process and reporting for RFO deliverables, integrating with company systems such as PowerBI
- Report on project status, performance, constraints, and issues to advise management on data-driven decision making.
- Perform RFO schedule vetting to ensure accuracy and alignment of schedule with project milestones, logic and inter-dependencies between activities.
- Liaise with project scheduling resources to ensure RFO plan is aligned with project schedule.
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and facilitate RFO related validation activities to confirm operational readiness.
- Facilitate the development and monitoring of the Operations Integrated Plan in Primavera P6.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional planning assignments as required, for Operations Services support.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or allied areas
- 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Operations
- Planning/Scheduling experience in support of operations, maintenance or project management
- Specific expertise with Primavera and Power BI
- Expertise in Project Management Tools including Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Ready For Operations programs and its processes is highly preferred.
- Experience working independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment with excellent leadership and written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exposure to technical aspects across multi-disciplinary operations and maintenance, HSE, Procurement, Operations Engineering, HR, IT.
- Knowledge of planning, system, services, processes, and procedures for Operating facilities.
- Ability to travel across sites in Louisiana is required.
