Job Description
This is a temporary position for an approximate 6-month term. This is a position based in St. John's with the Process Engineering Team and will report directly to the Process Engineering Team Manager. This role may be shortened or extended at client’s sole discretion.POSITION INFORMATION
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard identification studies (HAZID, HAZOP)
- Provide Process Safety support for Baseline PHA Revalidations
- Update/maintain Process Safety Processes
- Trending and analysis of Process Safety Metrics
- Classification of Process Safety Events
- Leading or participating in Incident Investigations
- Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering designation or career experience equivalent
- Minimum 5 years related experience in the petro-chemical/ oil and gas business with desired experience in fixed and floating production systems, topsides facilities and offshore operations support
- Demonstrated knowledge of Safety and Environmentally Critical Elements
- Ability to facilitate Process Hazard Assessments (PHA’s)
- Basic understanding of production system processes
- Knowledge and experience in Environmental, safety and loss prevention process and practices
- Knowledge of Newfoundland Offshore Regulatory environment
- Strong written communications skills demonstrating conciseness and clarity
- Work prioritization skills
- Computer skills, MS Office
- Experience with SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System
