Job Description

Petroplan is working exclusively with a global energy company to staff an exciting LNG production and export terminal mega-project. We are recruiting a top caliber Environmental professional for a Air Quality Manager position, based in Houston, TX who meets the following criteria.

The Air Quality Manager will oversee and enforce the relevant Local, State, and Federal Air Quality Regulations for our Louisiana LNG facility. This position will be based out of Houston, TX. In this role, the Air Quality Manager will assist with the preparation and submission of related applications and fulfill reporting requirements. This role will require interaction with company leadership, environmental personnel, and regulatory bodies. Prior knowledge and experience with existing and upcoming Local, State, and Federal Air Quality Regulations are essential for this position.
  • Lead team members in preparing air permit applications, including permitting strategy, project descriptions, and regulatory analyses, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Manage the quality, scope, timeliness, and financial aspects of air quality, ensuring adherence to client and internal profitability goals.
  • Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for air quality permitting and compliance projects.
  • Engage with project teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Monitor and interpret local, state, and federal air quality regulations to ensure company and client compliance.
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and strategies to clients, ensuring conformity with permits, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist clients with agency coordination, permit acquisition, and ongoing compliance.
  • Conduct emissions calculations and analyze air quality data to track trends and identify improvement areas.
  • Perform environmental impact assessments and propose mitigation measures, as necessary.
  • Oversee air quality monitoring programs, including equipment installation, maintenance, and data analysis.
  • Communicate scientific and technical information effectively through written reports and presentations.
  • Partner with clients and regulatory agencies to articulate regulatory requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in local and regional trade associations.
  • Advise and develop response plans for air quality incidents.
  • Plan and participate in environmental audits to assess compliance and address findings or discrepancies.
