Civil Engineer - LNG Project

Job Description

• Deliver progress reports to senior management, outlining milestones and challenges.
• Contribute to weekly site engineering reports for stakeholder updates.
• Ensure timely issue resolution and adherence to project schedules.
• Maximize resource efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Provide technical support to resolve construction-related engineering challenges.
• Review and validate survey deliverables and address site interface concerns.
• Utilize engineering tools and drafting software.
• Interface with regulatory bodies, including LADOTD, USACE, FERC, and LDEQ to ensure compliance.

• Ensure compliance with Company & Project and industry HSSE policies, standards, and regulations throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all design, construction, and maintenance activities comply with industry codes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Contribute to HSEQ performance, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.

• Lead civil engineering activities during LNG facility construction, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors and teams to resolve issues and ensure proper execution of work.
• Serve as a technical resource and primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.

• Approve civil design documents, drawings, and calculations to meet project and industry standards.
• Address site discrepancies, including survey deliverables and fit-up/interface issues.
• Provide input to field RFIs and collaborate with contractors to resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation, including reports and drawings.

• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
• Flexible in adapting to changing demands and managing adjustments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
• Professional Engineer license (preferred).
• 8 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or LNG projects, including 2 years in EPC environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
