Title: Operations Readiness Project Engineer - LNG Project
Petroplan is working exclusively with a global energy company to staff an exciting LNG production and export terminal mega-project. We are recruiting a top caliber Operations Readiness professional for an Operations Readiness Project Engineer position, based in Houston who meets the following criteria.
Purpose- This position supports the framing and delivery of new opportunities through the provision of technical Production expertise in line with the Operation Readiness Process. It ensures that both past Operating experience and the Production Function needs are adequately represented in new opportunities
Responsibilities & Accountabilities HSEQ & Process Safety- Contribute to HSE processes including HAZOPs and HAZIDs;
Leadership- Responsible to manage interfaces between the Project, and Production departments, including relevant external service providers;
Excellence- Contribute to the review and revision of the Operation Readiness process key supporting documentation including guidelines, catalogues, templates, and roadmaps.
- Contribute to the Operation Readiness (OPS) functional (assurance) check process, including review participation.
- Contribute to the development and updating of the Operation Readiness section of the annual Production Activity Plan, including monthly progress tracking and reporting.
Work Processes & Systems- Responsible for OPEX forecasts;
- Responsible for Operation Readiness involvement in assurance processes, including Operation Readiness (OPS) Peer Reviews
- Responsible for change management, verification and assurance of Operations Readiness activities including reporting
- Responsible for the Operations Readiness Activity Plan (CTR)
- Coordinate the development of Operating/Maintenance procedures;
- Coordinate technical support, as required, to the Business Readiness Team
- Coordinate and manage the WMS deviations
- Coordinate the development of facility standards as required
- Contribute to the Operation Readiness Plan; and
- Contribute to the Operation Readiness budgets (Resources).
- Contribute to early organisation planning activities and resource forecasting
- Contribute to Technical Integrity Management;
- Contribute to and champion Operations Readiness risk governance meetings;
- Contribute to Corrective and Preventative maintenance programs;
- Contribute to the development of Handover and Acceptance Criteria;
- Contribute support to the site-based construction engineers regarding Handover & Acceptance;
- Identifying and managing asset vulnerabilities
- Focal point for technical operations interface queries from the Pipeline Owner
Skills & Experience - Minimum 5 years experience in a technical/engineering role
- Support with current in-pipeline project delivery, site-based or asset support experience. (10 years for Senior role)
- Formal tertiary discipline degree qualification or equivalent.
- In-depth technical knowledge in field of expertise.
- Thorough understanding of operational processes and procedures.
- Awareness in process safety critical role competency (Knowledge for Senior role)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong productive interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills.
