Job Description

Petroplan is working exclusively with a global energy company to staff an exciting LNG production and export terminal mega-project. We are recruiting a top caliber Project Engineer professional for a Full time position, based in Houston, TX who meets the following criteria.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities?
  • Support delivery and governance of the Louisiana LNG program, including baseline and revalidation. Maintain the plan and coordinate with the Engineering Team to deliver on commitments and budgeted scopes. 
  • Maintain performance of the models. Approve scopes of work, embed feedback between asset, discipline leads and contractor to streamline ways of working. Track budget, quality and utilisation of model, and embed improvements to ensure process is streamlined 
  • Provide input on budget management. Track and manage engineering external OPEX for accountable projects, make recommendations for fund reallocation based on work prioritisation, where required.
  • Maintain high performance of outsourced scopes.
  • Support determination of whether outsourcing is appropriate, based on work type and complexity.
  • Develop and review scopes and engage the Engineering Team for project scopes. Identify synergies between scopes and how they can be delivered more efficiently.
  • Implement ways of working and improvement opportunities for outsourcing. 
  • Act as the Engineering focal point to facilitate the development of the project. Lead scopes of work and projects as required
  • Work with Functional reps and Process Owners to remove duplication and ensure fit for purpose solutions delivered.
  • Backfill of Engineering Support Team Lead. Provide active support to the Engineering team.
Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to process safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate change management across the asset
  • Ability to influence and earn credibility across all levels of the asset
  • Ability to coordinate and implement small projects / improvements
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering role.
  • Extensive experience in LNG or Oil and Gas industries.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and provide technical leadership.
