Manufacturing Technician - Oil and Gas Industry

My client is a well established Oilfield Service and Manufacturing Company with a global presence. They are currently looking to bring on numerous individuals to fulfil a wide variety of roles within the organization. They are looking for individuals with a background working within a manufacturing environment such as a machine/fabrication shop, production facility, assembly shop, shipping facility or related. Role will vary in pay, and shifts, but all will be based on a minimum of 40 hours, with most position offering overtime hours. Typical duties will be as followed, but not limited too:

  • Moving material around the facility
  • Preparing items for shipping
  • Loading materials
  • Forklift, pallet jack, and/or overhead crane operation
  • Utilizing various tools such as grinders, torches, and drills
  • Standing for multiple hours
  • Handling materials that weigh 40 lbs
  • Exposed to heat, cold, rain, etc.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working in a similar environment
  • Able to stand for multiple hours
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Able to work weekends (either schedule shift or on call)
  • Steel toe boots

Responsibilities:

HSE SUPERVISOR for Pipeline Projects

The HSE Supervisor is responsible for:
* Monitoring the effective implementation of the HSE procedures and of the precaution indicated in the risk assessments and JSAs;
* Coaching the personnel at site about the new procedures;
* Participating to the HSE meetings as required;
* Distributing daily reports and sharing lesson learnt during daily pre start briefing;
* Carrying out daily site HSE inspections;
* Controlling the proper use of PPE at workplaces and report non-compliances;
* Providing assistance in case of incidents at workplaces and participating to the investigation as required;
* Informing about any HSE violation found at workplaces and fill in proper report of violation;
* Creating a transparent and cooperative relation with Construction Team providing professional advice and support;
* Pro-actively advising on environmental, occupational health and safety aspects during the planning of all Work activities;
* Leading systematic workplace verification inspections;
* Spending a minimum of eighty (80) percent of their time at Work locations monitoring compliance and providing coaching on HSE procedures, reinforcing best practices on environmental and safe work, sharing lessons learned and reinforcing positive behaviours;
* Exercising Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions or behaviours in the field are identified.
Requirements
- English fluency (written and spoken) is a must
- 5/7 years of experience as HSE supervisor in International Projects in the oil & gas industry or international general contractors
- Technical degree
- Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills are essential
- Familiarity with microsoft outlook, internet, excel and/or word applications
- Team player with leadership, motivational and technical skills
- Knowledge of HSEMS implementation (PTW, JSA preparation, TBT, hazardous substances management, work at height, confined space, etc.)

Position Summary

The Water Treatment Facilities Engineer will be part of the Contact Engineering team that use their skills to work closely with site operations to extract maximum value from the facilities while managing safety and risk.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plant optimization through programs applied across the facility
  • Daily operational process performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Develop organizational relationships to increase role effectiveness
  • Find engineering solutions to short term value opportunities
  • Complete economic evaluation to assess various options to address issues or opportunities
  • Support the development of Staff engineering initiatives
