L&D Manager - Part Time

Petroplan - a global specialist oil & gas recruitment company - are seeking a dynamic L&D Manager to join our team; to train, coach and develop our new and existing consultants, arming them with the key qualities needed to be successful at Petroplan. This is a part time role, and we require a talented trainer that has a demonstrable track record in Learning and Development, that ideally has has a successful recruitment career and has made the transition in to Sales Training.

Training and coaching is an integral part of our culture here at Petroplan, we aim to ensure consistent year-on-year growth.

This position will support the Senior Leadership team decision-makers with vital feedback on where we can develop as a company. This is an opportunity for someone to really make this role their own as it is the first time that we will be bringing training inhouse.

  • Work closely with the management team to design and deliver training sessions to all via 121 and group sessions.
  • You will be adaptable to the differing levels of abilities and create content to reflect the consultant's needs.
  • In-between core sessions, you will follow the content onto the floor, and offer a fluid approach to training in the form of on-desk coaching. You will have the freedom to support with everything from organisation, to live feedback and closing calls. This will then be followed up with post-call coaching and action points to complete the cycle.
  • Design quality sales training programs within budget limitations
  • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses to identify training needs
  • Design onboarding sessions for new hires and sales trainees.
  • Evaluate sales team performance to ensure incorporation of taught techniques
  • Report on training program effectiveness
  • Implement and maintain an up to date training database and training records

Junior Credit Controller

We are looking to recruit a recent graduate or passionate Junior Credit Controller within our finance department.

Petroplan is a truly global business and has been running for the past 43 years. Based in our Guildford office, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a diverse, multinational and sociable team.

Position overview:

This role will involve carrying out day to day Credit Control duties, collecting cash on the worldwide debtor's ledger, across multiple currencies. You will also manage reporting and reconciling key accounts.

You will receive training and development from an experienced credit controller and quickly have responsibility for your own accounts.

Role Responsibilities and duties:

  • Proactively manage debt collection for a worldwide multi-currency ledger
  • Issue monthly statements and copy invoices where necessary
  • Resolution of queries to facilitate payments from customers to bring payment into line with terms
  • Liaise & communicate with internal departments as required in order to maintain an accurate position on customer accounts
  • Prioritise and manage challenging workload whilst maintaining a high level of customer service and identify accounts that will require special attention
  • Maintaining the query log daily - Assist the P&R team in reducing the number of queries, by spotting trends and improving areas of weakness.
  • Maintaining the unallocated cash on both the Supplier/Customer accounts

Qualification skills & experience:

  • Degree educated is desirable (Finance related)
  • A collaborative and positive attitude
  • Good numerical skills
  • Strong compliance and control mentality
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Some experience with sales ledgers & credit control is desirable but attitude is the most important

Acting as a key member of a Finance team in a growing upstream energy company with exciting development potential, contributing to the daily operational finance support and administration of the Group. Supporting the Financial Management Accountant on a day-to-day basis in which key responsibilities will include the timely processing, posting and monitoring of all payments and receivables across a number of Group companies, as well as organising and maintaining general ledgers.

Responsibilities

* Timely and accurate processing and posting of purchase invoicing and payments

* Resolving other ad-hoc queries with both internal/external contacts

* Assisting with monthly bank, credit cards, petty cash and loan accounts reconciliations

* Maintaining the accounting ledgers integrity and perform reconciliations and allocate balances where required

* Assist in the preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliations

* Assist in the preparation of the Groups VAT returns

* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end / half-year statutory financial statements

* Assist in preparing monthly accruals, pre-payments schedules

Purpose
The Commercial Manager is to assist Management Board in managing and reviewing overall activities related to commercial matters such as credit management, planning contractual, purchases & sales, logistics & marine, customer support.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and handle PO/SO/DO via SAP
  • Manage to contact with existing/potential customers to ensure the readiness of any spot sale and spot purchase
  • Deal with spot sales (export and domestic) & spot purchases (import and domestic)
  • Manage to receive & response feedbacks from Customer (Customer research & support)
  • Forecast and response to market behaviors
  • Deal with all commercial matters in daily operation (IDDPA; credit management, rollover; demurrage; inspection; disputes....)
  • Manage and control marine service charges (PP handling fee, port charges, custom clearance....).
  • Plan and implement the most optimal solution to maximize the profit for the client based on the product sales and production by having a close coordination with Refinery Planning team.
  • Be focal point of all commercial matters by close coordinating with E&C (Refinery Planning team), Finance, Accounting and other related internal parties.
  • Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a commercial situation;
