Job Description

Purpose:

On behalf of our international Energy, Concessions, and Construction client, Petroplan are seeking a Procurement Director to lead and optimise the procurement and material management processes, for a Greenfield project in Kazakhstan, developing four natural gas stations, two gas supply lines and the construction of a power plant. The project value is $18billion and you would be joining the project from day one to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and develope strategic supplier relationships.

Package / Relocation to Kazakhstan / Allowances / Accommodation: To be discussed on qualification calls. 
Russian or German Language Fluency is essential for this role.


Job Overview:


The Procurement Director will develop and implement procurement strategies, oversee supplier performance, and drive process improvements. This role involves managing a high-performing team, negotiating vendor contracts, driving cost-saving initiatives, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role also requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to support operational needs and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Job Requirments:

• Fluent in Russian or German 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in procurement leadership roles, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in vendor management and contract execution.
• In-depth knowledge of global supply chain management and procurement best practices.
