Job Description
Our client is seeking a Full-Time HSSE Training Advisor to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Houston-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage multiple safety training and content projects at once, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals
- Design and launch safety campaigns tailored to address specific workplace hazards and improve the overall safety culture
- Create high-impact visual content such as posters, presentations, infographics, and other materials using graphic design tools
- Develop clear and consistent HSSE signage templates and guidelines for use across all sites
- Produce engaging safety training materials specific to LNG facility operations based on industry regulations and site procedures
- Work closely with internal teams to gather feedback, encourage adoption, and support the successful rollout of training and communication campaigns
- Build and deliver interactive computer-based training modules using Articulate 360
- Oversee internal safety communications including safety alerts, updates, and lessons learned
- Create and deliver instructor-led, face-to-face training sessions on a variety of safety topics
- Develop and facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs to prepare internal trainers for effective delivery of safety materials
- Coordinate with training administrators to ensure smooth deployment and tracking of all safety training programs
- Collaborate with procurement to source vendors, manage production of safety materials, and oversee timely delivery to relevant personnel
- Apply a strong understanding of oil and gas industry practices to ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and effective
- Support additional business-related tasks as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s degree is preferred in a field such as Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Communications, Graphic Design, or Instructional Design
- Minimum of five years of experience in a safety-related role within the oil and gas industry
- Proven experience in creating and implementing safety campaigns and initiatives
- Strong background in developing technical safety training materials, especially for high-risk environments such as LNG facilities
- Experience recognizing and addressing job site hazards including permit to work processes, energy isolation, hot work, confined space entry, fall protection, housekeeping, and lifting operations
- Proficient in using Articulate 360 or similar tools for developing e-learning content
- Skilled in delivering face-to-face training and facilitating Train-the-Trainer programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience managing internal site-wide safety communications is a plus
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management is an advantage
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background and drug screening
- Must hold or be able to obtain a TWIC card
Key Skills- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices in the oil and gas industry
- Advanced graphic design capabilities using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Effective instructional design and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with accuracy and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working at an LNG export facility
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and content tracking
- Experience in creating training videos or other multimedia learning tools
