Support the development of the prospect database and Salesforce processes within the appropriate business areas.

Summary
Responsible for preparing, planning, forecasting, executing, monitoring, and managing all the technical activities (and resources) aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Job Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership to drive and review mechanical technical design.
Perform technical studies and prepare reports.

Coordinate development of all technical deliverables during engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning phases of projects. This includes assisting the PMO in the development of the PEP (e.g. deliverables list, schedule input, procurement plan, project specifications, etc.) and the ongoing delegation of engineering deliverables and approvals to the Project Engineers on staff.
Develop and manage the Technical Scope of Work, Schedule, and Execution Plan.
Provide technical instruction and guidance, for all Engineering and Design resources assigned to the project; to enable them to complete their required deliverables most efficiently.
Analyze and interpret client requirements for implementation, including communication to the technical project team.
Excel at client interaction and management.
Review of all technical deliverables (Engineering & Design) to ensure that they comply with the technical SOW, applicable codes, practices, policies, and performance standards/specifications.
Perform engineering calculations to ensure products and systems conform to client and customer specifications.
Effectively communicate with the Project Manager, and other shareholders within the project team, to provide technical support.
Recommend design improvements to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
Provide technical/functional definition for all procured equipment and services, through the development of RFQ Packages and purchase requisitions.

Actively attend 3rd party inspections and FAT's, as required, to satisfy the Project ITP, and the Company quality initiative.
Support Project Manager, responsible for the overall project, as required with regular updates on engineering and subcontractor progress and schedule and budget recovery planning.

Serve as the backup to the Project Manager should the need arise.
Provide on-site startup and commissioning support.
Thoroughly understand and execute swim lane responsibilities in the Project Execution Plan Workflow in a timely and accurate manner. Foster collaboration and healthy synergy between all project team members.

Requirements:

Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering/Naval Architectural), Quantity Surveyor, Supply Chain Management, OR commercially/legal orientated qualification.
Minimum of 8 years in similar roles (EPC specialist managing contractors are preferable)

Ensure EPC / FEED Contractors' QA/QC personnel are appropriately qualified.
Carry out review and approval of EPC / FEED Contractors' and their nominated
Ensure calibration system for inspection, measurement and test measuring equipment is in accordance with EPC / FEED Contract requirements.
Review and approve the Inspection and Test Plan and witness major activities.
Participating in reviewing the Project Execution Plan (PEP) prepared by EPC / FEED Contractor and ensuring that it addresses the applicable quality requirements to fulfil the overall Project requirements. The Project Execution Plan shall include all applicable forms that are needed to track and follow-up the Project requirements i.e. transmittal logs, control sheets, reports, inspection forms, follow up logs and NCR logs.
Ensure that the quality systems of Vendors and Sub-vendors is evaluated by EPC / FEED Contractor and complies with the Project Quality standards.
Ensure the auditing of quality system of Vendors and Sub-vendors, by EPC / FEED Contractor, as applicable.
Ensure that corrective and preventive actions raised under NCR's are implemented to address the root cause (as applicable) and to prevent recurrence.
Follow-up NCRs until close-out.
Develop the structure and requirements to be addressed in the monthly quality report to be issued by EPC / FEED Contractor.
Ensure that a proper system for QA/QC records is established and maintained by the EPC / FEED Contractor.

Minimum 7-years' experience in a similar role and managing solar projects
Managed quality system in large project
Experienced manager able to direct a team, and others that do not report directly.
Experience and understanding of quality issues within construction. Main focus to be quality but knowledge of environmental and health & safety issues would be beneficial.

South Carolina Based General Contractor is looking to add a Project Manager to their Solar construction Team. Projects are Commercial scale and located throughout the globe. The main duties of the Construction Project Manager are to plan and coordinate all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to project completion for renewable energy construction projects. This includes but is not limited to;
Overseeing multiple construction projects across the U.S. and overseas simultaneously.

5 years' experience specifically on US Army Corps of Engineer or NAVFAC projects.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, CLEARANCES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Summary
Responsible for preparing, planning, forecasting, executing, monitoring, and managing all the technical activities (and resources) aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
This role requires thorough understanding of "typical" engineering execution procedures, and relationships between multidiscipline predecessors and successors. As a multidiscipline leader, this individual is expected to function in this capacity with minimal supervision, mentor less experienced engineers, and promote innovative thinking and problem solving. When required, during new technology development phase, the incumbent will provide mechanical design expertise and later will transition to an expert project engineer role to support execution and completion of the developed technology.
Job Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership to drive and review mechanical technical design.
Perform technical studies and prepare reports.
Evaluate equipment and systems to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
Create and update the standard documentation related to the product design and performances, including user manuals.
Develop technical specifications for all equipment and components related to Hydrogen Liquefaction.

Work with external engineering disciplines to provide instruction, review deliverables and assure timeliness and quality of mechanical engineering deliverables.

Collaborate with vendors as necessary to develop products specific to client's designs. Ensure the new developments meet all applicable codes and standards.
Manage all phases of the technical project. Including all Engineering, Design, and technical resources associated with the project; to complete the project within budget and on schedule.
Work closely with the process engineering team to clearly define design and project requirements.
Review supplier drawings and calculations of equipment, following industry codes plus clients technical and safety standards.
Coordinate development of all technical deliverables during engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning phases of projects. This includes assisting the PMO in the development of the PEP (e.g. deliverables list, schedule input, procurement plan, project specifications, etc.) and the ongoing delegation of engineering deliverables and approvals to the Project Engineers on staff.
Develop and manage the Technical Scope of Work, Schedule, and Execution Plan.
Provide technical instruction and guidance, for all Engineering and Design resources assigned to the project; to enable them to complete their required deliverables most efficiently.
Analyze and interpret client requirements for implementation, including communication to the technical project team.
Excel at client interaction and management.
Review of all technical deliverables (Engineering & Design) to ensure that they comply with the technical SOW, applicable codes, practices, policies, and performance standards/specifications.
Perform engineering calculations to ensure products and systems conform to client and customer specifications.
Effectively communicate with the Project Manager, and other shareholders within the project team, to provide technical support.
Recommend design improvements to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
Provide technical/functional definition for all procured equipment and services, through the development of RFQ Packages and purchase requisitions.
Serve as the primary technical interface with 3rd party manufactures, integrators, and fabricators
Actively attend 3rd party inspections and FAT's, as required, to satisfy the Project ITP, and the Company quality initiative.
Support Project Manager, responsible for the overall project, as required with regular updates on engineering and subcontractor progress and schedule and budget recovery planning.
Responsible for the project technical Management of Change.
Serve as the backup to the Project Manager should the need arise.
Provide on-site startup and commissioning support.
Thoroughly understand and execute swim lane responsibilities in the Project Execution Plan Workflow in a timely and accurate manner. Foster collaboration and healthy synergy between all project team members.

Experience Requirements
8 years in technical project settings for engineered equipment/projects
Minimum of five (5) years Chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas experience
Experience specifying process equipment in cryogenic services including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and cold box.
Knowledge of safety related design elements in hydrogen processing is desired.
Working experience with materials of construction used in cryogenic hydrogen services.
Experience specifying hydrogen storage, piping and transportation systems.
Knowledge of Hydrogen production technologies is a plus.
Experience in gas purification such as PSA, TSA, NRU, Cryogenic gas processing or others.

You will be responsible for development, supervision, and drive of our renewable energy projects in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

You will need to be set up and monitor development budgets for individual projects and track payments to suppliers and advisors.

Land: review primary land documents (options, leases, easements etc.) as part of the due diligence exercise on new projects and supervise existing projects to ensure timely compliance with terms of land option agreements through co-ordination with lawyers and agents.
Regulatory: actively participate in regulatory processes and coordinate with the regulatory team to stay abreast with market changes and regulatory concerns which could positively or negatively impact projects.

Ensure the E&D group executes the events, deliverables and responsibilities of the E&D according to Project Workflow in a timely and collaborative manner across the portfolio.
Oversee development of department policies, procedures and standards.
Continually recruit contributor and management engineers, designers and 3rd party contract resources to fulfill the mission of the E&D groups.
Professional development of the E&D staff through planning, timely performance feedback, coaching, continued education and counseling. This will include both the department managers and contributor personnel.
Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within E&D group.
The full duties of a principal project engineer (PPE) on the subset of projects self-assigned as the lead project engineer:
Develop and coordinate the technical execution plan of a project (e.g. E&D deliverables list) in collaboration with E&D resources.
Understand the roles and contributions of each project team member and 3rd Understand the technical deliverables that each team member must produce and how they inter-relate with each other.
Coordinate with PMO, fabrication and field service providing the optimum project technical solution with respect to cost, specification requirements, schedule and constructability.
Conduct regular customer visits and provide feedback and understanding to the project team of customer's requests/perspective.
Monitor the project metrics (e.g. ECN count, unfunded vendor change orders, schedule adherence, budget adherence, etc.) to gauge and directly influence the technical health of the project.
Secondary Duties
Sales support as required (e.g. estimation, schedule building, PEP development, visits to potential customers and suppliers).
Engagement in various special projects as required by executive leadership.

Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering; Master's degree/certification (e.g. MS, PE) preferred.

Direct management of engineering and design staff including the leading of departmental managers (10 people).
Experience in the midstream sector of the oil and gas industry with direct experience in gas processing and liquids handling equipment.

Leadership:

Visits internal/external panel manufacturing facilities to assess progress, provide technical assistance and for final inspection and sign off.
Provides a leading role in technical activities and will direct the activities of others assigned to customer projects. Take lead role in organizing, assigning, reviewing software development, direct functional specification development and planning for integrated customer witness testing.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of applicable work experience
An advanced degree with a minor in controls is preferred.
Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the design and implementation of control and instrumentation systems for process plants
Experience developing BPCS / SIS architectures, control applications, and hardware specifications using Siemens PCS7.
Additional experience with other controls platforms is a plus
Must be able to demonstrate technical competence, leadership skills, communicate effectively
Instrumentation specification authoring in Smart-Plant Instrumentation toolset
Must be able to lead and direct the work of junior engineers assigned to projects
Must be a strong team player with a willingness to accept responsibility
Have good problem-solving abilities, be ambitious, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to work well within a multi-disciplinary design team located in multiple geographies and to liaise directly with suppliers and clients
Travel is required, both domestic and international
Travel will include trips to plant sites, equipment fabricators, outside engineering firms, and customer locations (estimated at 30%)
Relevant practical site commissioning experience while not essential would be of benefit

The ideal candidate will have nuclear and / or heavy fabrication experience in order to hit the ground running with current projects within the fabrication workshop, and ideally be familiar with GE equipment. Coordinate activities within the Quality department.
Liaise with Workshop, Project & Repair Managers.
Liaise with clients & third party inspection authorities.
Carry out internal audits & liaise with all internal departments as and when necessary.
Oversee random & planned inspections of materials, manufacture/installation processes in accordance with company and or client, third party procedures and specifications.
Collate and safeguard QA documentation for quality Dossiers.
Initiate and arrange third party NDT/DT.

Co-ordination and monitoring of the operation of the Quality Management System
Control of Quality Personnel in workshop and on Sites.
Management of materials and accompanying certification.
Ensure necessary inspections are carried out in accordance with requirements.
Overseeing welder qualification & weld procedure tests.
Ensure welder performance qualification certificates are up to date.
Ensure PQR & WPS are available for projects.
Contracting third party inspection agencies and NDE service providers.
Coordinating & carrying out internal audits.
Advising on materials and weld consumables.
Ensuring Calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment as and when required.
Maintaining calibration logs.
Witnessing DPI, MPI, UT thickness gauging and pressure testing as and when required.
Accompany third party inspectors & Client visits at workshop or on site with regards to QC activities.
Undertake any additional duties as and when required by the business.
Ensuring adherence to all company policies & procedures.
To identify system weaknesses and suggest new/efficient procedures to strengthen it.
Promote health and safety and ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures
Knowledge/Experience required:
ISO 9001 Internal / Lead Auditor
Knowledge of ASME, EN, EU directives, ISO codes and standards.
Relevant qualifications, engineering background preferred.
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification preferred
At least 7 years QC exp. of which 2 years as Manager

Petroplan are recruiting for a Principal Solar Energy Consultant for a leading EPC in Muscat, Oman. You will support the delivery of consultancy assignments for large-scale solar projects worldwide. This is an initial contract position on an hourly rate, for a period of 12 months with likely chance of extension. Using your deep technical knowledge of solar power generation technology, you will contribute in close cooperation with other disciplines and project managers, to the development of feasibility and conceptual studies, preliminary design & cost estimate studies, technological support to PV detail design projects technical Due Diligences and the provision of technical advisory services in accordance with the project requirements and any applicable statutory and regulatory specification.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Execution of the following technical activities:
Yield Assessments of Solar Plants.
Definition of Basis of Design and Electrical Systems specifications for solar plants.
Definition of the Solar Plant layout.
Equipment specifications and selection (e.g. transformers, inverters, PV modules and supporting structure).
Cables calculations and generation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
HV substation configuration and protection systems coordination.
Revision of the Detailed Design of a PV plant to ensure that the engineering developed by the EPC contractor meets the project requirements and any applicable statutory and regulatory specification.
Provision of technical inputs and support the Study Managers in the delivery of consultancy services, such as Feasibility and Conceptual Studies, Financial Models, Cost Estimates, Market Studies and Due Diligences.
Support the development of PV detail engineering design and PV EPCM projects.
Deliver and/or review technical inputs and engineering documents timely and with the adequate quality.
Support the Project Manager with the preparation of progress reports.
Support the Project Manager in technical conversations with the Client and the EPC contractor technical representatives.
Support the Project Manager in the review and response to Technical Deviation Proposals, Change Orders and Requests for Information submitted by the Client and the EPC Contactor.
Regular reporting to the project management on the status of the engineering activities.
Ensure compliance with standards and procedures, and that the right systems are in place and applied to the project. Support the development, preparation, implementation and follow-up of various plans (e.g. schedule, quality, execution, project and interface management) throughout the project during different stages and with all components.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Engineering Degree required. Master of Science preferred.
LANGUAGES
Fluent English (written and spoken) other languages skills are a plus.
Ability to report in English, both verbal & in writing
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years of experience in Power Plants projects development, consulting, engineering, commissioning and construction.
Minimum 5 years of Power & Renewable Energy technologies experience is required, particularly in the design of large Photovoltaic (PV) projects (from conceptual to detail).
Technical Advisory experience (e.g. PMC, Owners Engineer, LTA, etc.) is preferred, but not mandatory.
International experience is required (multinational companies or across different countries and professional cultures). Middle East / Arabian Gulf experience is an asset.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Deep knowledge of PV technology and the execution of large PV projects and technical PV related consultancy works.
Good knowledge of PVSyst and CAD. Good knowledge of Pvcase is a plus.
Good knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems, and particularly of IEC standards for electrical design purposes.
Knowledge of High Voltage (HV) electrical systems is a plus.
Good knowledge of the following tools is a preferred, but not mandatory: Civil 3D, DigSilent and ETAP.
Good knowledge of I&C and SCADA requirements for Renewable Energy projects is an asset.
Good knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is an asset.
