The Well Site Leader (WSL) has a key role in managing safety, people, and performance, at the well site. The WSL will report to the Well Superintendent and will:
Understand risk and verify control measures are reviewed, discussed, and in place.
Verify that well monitoring and well control procedures are understood and implemented.
Assess the performance of the enduring risk barriers through Self-Verification (SV) and Oversight (OS).
Foster and maintain a safety culture that allows others to speak up, stop-the-job, identify hazards, and manage change.
Maintain OS of contractor Safety Management System (SMS).
Verify that the well operations are performed safely, in compliance with the applicable regulations, and conform to Requirements.
Promote timely reporting of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) incidents.
Understand the capability of the team to execute the programme.
Provide support, coaching, direction, and build relationships through active participation and communication with the crew in the execution of work (i.e., the WSL is to have a visible presence outside).
Manage service contractors by providing service quality feedback.
Verify that a process is in place to brief new and returning crew members as they arrive on the installation and/or rig regarding their duties, expectations for HSE, and operational performance.
Demonstrate Values and behaviours by personal example that reinforces personal and process safety, continuous risk reduction, and performance improvement.
Daily supervision of operations programme execution and witness of critical activities.
Continuously monitor performance, collate lessons learned, and look for opportunities n.to enhance efficiency. Be prepared to take remedial actions.
Verify After Action Reviews (AARs) are held at the well site to capture any lessons learned.
Communicate clear performance expectations and ensure visibility of delivery versus the plan along with relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (e.g., Non-Productive Time [NPT]).
Accurately record daily time summary details in OpenWells reporting software, focus on the facts, and maintain oversight and control of cost (for contractors and third party).
Key Criteria:
Minimum 10-years Well Site Leader (drilling supervisor) experience including drilling and completion operations.
Ability to work offshore, North Sea UK inclusive of MIST, FOET, UK medical and CA EBS certification.
Current (IADC or IWCF) supervisor-level drilling well control certification for extent of employment contract.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Safety Critical Role competency assessment and agree a gap closure plan with their Well Superintendent.

Our client has an exciting opening for a Senior Piping Engineer on a contract basis within the Central Engineering Department at the Aberdeen office. Operating in a technical, challenging and diverse environment the role will involve working with various diverse engineering projects.
The role will be responsible for supporting work on tenders, studies, live projects and Research and Development Initiatives.
We welcome applicants from a range of sectors including subsea equipment providers, nuclear and power, HP Drilling and Military Design industries.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan, detail and review technical documentation relating to subsea piping and mechanical systems' construction and installation.
Design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides, Client Specifications and Scopes of Work.
Production and checking of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed design reports, construction drawings, design specifications, material take-offs, weight control calculations, etc.
Provide input to, check and approve manifold pipe work general arrangement and isometric drawings.
Production of pipe work and fittings specifications.
Production of specifications and data sheet for subsea valves in accordance with API 6A or ISO 14723.
Package engineering and management of large valve and pipe fitting packages.
Provide mechanical and integrity calculations for piping and equipment, including pipe work stress analysis utilising CAESAR or similar software.
Coordinate pipe work and mechanical engineering support to the execution of multidiscipline projects in line with defined budget and schedule.
Liaise with associated subsea related disciplines and understand the interfaces within a project.
Provide piping engineering assistance during occasional periods of offshore or site working.
Provide piping engineering support to Business Acquisition and FEED study execution.
Train/mentor junior and Graduate Engineers.
Actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development.
Key Attributes required for this Position:
An extensive subsea piping & mechanical track record in coordinating manifold / subsea/ towhead piping design teams (multi inter-disciple engineering/ extensive multi-component MTOs/ procurement & vendor selection support) as an integral part of a large project team.
Integration & detailed/ expert engineering knowledge of subsea piping HPHT subsea systems/ piping connection systems/ cold flow/ subsea factory/ pumps/ compressors/ separators/ subsea electrical integration/ flow-meters/ valves etc.
Detailed/ expert engineering knowledge of all the major subsea equipment suppliers & integrating components together from multiple suppliers
Key Specific engineering expertise & vendor knowledge of the piping components - various forgings/ connectors/ flanges/ pulled bends/ small & large bore valves/ fittings/ seals & gaskets - supplied to the subsea Oil & Gas market
Extensive experience in the modular layouts/ pipe stress analysis and valve specification requirements for subsea piping towhead/ manifold systems.
Chartered or approaching Chartered Engineer status.
A positive attitude to developing engineering experience across diverse engineering projects within the global organisation.
Engineering knowledge of single bore & multi-bore hub connectors & associated subsea tie-in systems (flow-lines/ risers etc.) within the market
Take full responsibility for datasheets/ specifications/ scope of work for piping components
Extensive & in-depth knowledge of all subsea codes/ specs/ standards
Awareness & engineering knowledge of subsea mechanical equipment which is being developed
Suitable skills & understanding of the cost / schedule of all the major piping components for contributing to FEEDs/ projects etc.
Bring knowledge & expertise to all the engineering/ cost reduction initiatives within the subsea Oil & Gas sector
Knowledge of piping caisson design would be advantageous
Specified Qualifications for position:
Degree educated (BEng/ MEng/ Phd) in relevant engineering discipline is desirable but consideration will be given to those with extensive proven experience within a similar role
Skills:
Manage interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers is essential
Experience in the use of CAESAR or similar software

Due to continued growth and we are looking for a DP (Dynamic Positioning) & Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full-time staff basis based in our Aberdeen office.
This role sits within the Marine Technical Group and the aim of the group is to be a centre of expertise for Dynamic Positioning and Electrical systems, providing Knowledge and experience to ensure that our equipment meets key safety & operational requirements, a consistent specialist approach to technical management and operation of these systems with our main Original Equipment Manufacturers, Vendors, Vessel Superintendents and vessel offshore technical teams to ensure a proper optimisation of all operational and technical routines and support for OR projects for CAPEX, dry-dock and maintenance stops preparation & execution
The candidates we are looking for should have demonstrable knowledge of vessel DP systems, marine electrical, electronic, and automation equipment. We are keen to hear from applicants not only from Oil and Gas Subsea Engineering backgrounds, but also from those with relevant shipping, Shuttle tankers, Ferry and Cruise operating DP or Class Surveyors/Consultants with DP and Electrical background.
Duties
Daily assistance to Vessel Superintendents in order to assure that DP, Automation, Electrical/Electronic systems is maintained to relevant standard.
Technical assistance in connection with breakdowns and maintenance.
Preparation of specifications and assistance with CAPEX justification.
Recommendation of actions to be taken to improve vessel safety and maintenance.
Maintaining files and records of DP technical documents.
Assist Vessel Superintendents with investigation and reporting of DP incidents to enable a safe return to work.
Annual DP trials, documentation and acceptance.
Follow up changes in rules and regulations.
Develop and maintain relationship with manufacturer/suppliers of relevant equipment.
Assist and follow up of docking, modification, and upgrading work.
Support projects in interface between vessel systems and project systems.
The job holder has a high level of safety criticality rating especially during site operations with subcontractors.
Skills/Qualifications
You will have relevant and demonstrable engineering experience in an onshore maritime or offshore environment in a similar position
You should be degree or HND qualification in an electrical engineering discipline
You will have a good understanding of vessel electrical, electronic and DP systems and equipment to contribute towards the resolution of technical problems.
You should have a good awareness of relevant international standards, codes and regulations for Marine systems.
A good communicator, you will be comfortable working in a team and interfacing with various levels of people throughout the organisation.
You will be organised and a good task planner, with the ability to adapt and react to changes in workloads
You should have strong analytical skills and be comfortable reviewing technical specifications, drawings, etc

Drilling & Completions Wellsite Leader (WSL) The Wellsite Leader (WSL) is accountable for leading all activities, HSSE, operations, and logistics at the well site for all related well construction activities (drilling and completion), with the goal of meeting or exceeding performance metrics. The WSL is the site representative for Wells organisation and will lead Wells and Contractor Personnel to assure that well operations, which are under their control are carried out in a manner that adheres to Values and Behaviours, is conformant with the requirements of OMS, practices and procedures and is compliant with local government regulations. The WSL is a safety critical role due to the impact of the decisions they make on operations. While working at the rigsite, the WSL is embedded in the operations team and accountable for supporting planning and execution activities for well construction activities (drilling and completion), workover and intervention activities. Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Desirable Education: Degree in a qualified in engineering, science, or technical discipline; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels to be able to effectively project manage multi-disciplinary scopes of work.
