Job Description
You would be joining the Offshore Structures Team. This exciting team of experts supports the entire offshore wind business. You'll work to build a renewable energy future and as a team to set the standard. You will have proven experience in the design and engineering of wind turbine generator foundations in the offshore environment.
Your Role:
Carry out in-place structural analysis and design of offshore wind structures including wind turbine generator foundations, met masts and substation platforms
Undertake concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed designs
Carry out ultimate, serviceability, fatigue and accidental limit state design
Lead a project or work with a lead engineer to achieve delivery of projects within allotted budgets and timescales
Carry out foundation design involving soil/structure interaction
Undertake design for transportation and installation phases of offshore structures
Carry out analyses using SESAM or SACS software
Provide technical supervision to junior structural engineers as required
Produce technical reports, drawings, design briefs and specifications
Provide effective leadership for a small team and to be innovative and pro-active within a multidisciplinary team
To be responsible for delivering work packages as assigned
To be responsible for ensuring that all design work is performed reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with project specific engineering procedures
Key Competence:
Recent senior level experience in the design of offshore structures (over 5-years' experience in OWF)
Familiarity with current OWF foundation design practices and developments
Strong experience and knowledge of offshore wind regulations, codes of practice and design standards
Familiarity with integrated load assessment (combined wind and wave analysis in the time domain)
Familiarity with time domain, spectral and deterministic methods of fatigue assessment
Familiarity with soil structure interaction techniques such as pile/soil interaction, PISA soil analysis
Assessing, reviewing and interpreting geotechnical input for offshore structural design (liaising with consultants for detailed design)
Experience of SESAM or SACS software will be to the candidate's advantage although practical experience of comparable software will be considered
Experience of preparing engineering reports, specifications, briefs and drawings
Experience in generating weight reports
Any experience in Python programming advantage
Qualifications:
BEng or Master Degree in a civil / structural / mechanical / marine engineering or related discipline
Chartered engineer (preferable but not essential)
5-10 years post-graduation experience in offshore structural engineering

Senior Project Engineer

The Role:
Working across multiple offshore wind farm projects, the primary focus for the Senior Project Engineer is to deliver scopes of work on Wind Farm projects. The Senior Project Engineer will support the end clients to deliver their Offshore Work Packages and also support on other live offshore wind farm projects including involvement on live bids, proposals, consulting, technical advisory and R&D design lead scopes.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Lead projects or work with lead engineers to achieve a satisfactory conclusion of the project within the allotted budget and timescale.
Responsible, as directed, for providing project engineering services to projects in various phases (design, construction, commissioning or operations)
Work in a multi-disciplinary project team, to conduct design and analysis work independently and to the satisfaction of the project lead.
Ability to act as a project engineer/package engineer/package manager on behalf of client.
Deliver work packages from start to finish whilst understanding both theoretical and practical elements of foundations design, management, fabrication, and installation.
Prepare Employers Requirements, review EPCI Design Basis and FEED studies.
Contract management, preparation, and review of Technical Communication notes.
Package / Contractor interface; various - HSE, QA and QC, consent compliance, stakeholder engagement and site conditions (geophysical, geotechnical and metocean).
Manage Package Document Control.
Assisting in Factory Acceptance Tests or audits of contractors and their sub-contractors.
Assisting in the daily management of contractors once the Project moves into the construction phase
Proactively identifying engineering issues and risks to be addressed
Managing interfaces between construction packages, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Consents Compliance and Health, Safety and Environment
Ensure that all design work under their control is performed, reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with ODE and/or project specific engineering procedures

Ensure that the quality systems of Vendors and Sub-vendors is evaluated by EPC / FEED Contractor and complies with the Project Quality standards.
Ensure the auditing of quality system of Vendors and Sub-vendors, by EPC / FEED Contractor, as applicable.
Ensure that corrective and preventive actions raised under NCR's are implemented to address the root cause (as applicable) and to prevent recurrence.
Follow-up NCRs until close-out.
Develop the structure and requirements to be addressed in the monthly quality report to be issued by EPC / FEED Contractor.
Ensure that a proper system for QA/QC records is established and maintained by the EPC / FEED Contractor.
Requirements:
Minimum 7-years' experience in a similar role and managing solar projects
Managed quality system in large project
Experienced manager able to direct a team, and others that do not report directly.
Experience and understanding of quality issues within construction. Main focus to be quality but knowledge of environmental and health & safety issues would be beneficial.
Have a good knowledge of solar project construction processes and standards.
Must be able to evaluate information to assess compliance with requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

You will need to have some understanding of financial models in order to appreciate the key drivers of value in our projects.
You will need to be set up and monitor development budgets for individual projects and track payments to suppliers and advisors.
You will need to have a basic understanding of key legal documents, such as land option and lease agreements, in order to assist with landowner interactions.
You must be able to pay attention to detail, to ensure accuracy in tasks, such as organising data rooms.
To be successful, you will need to interact with other stakeholders, such as engineering designers, lawyers, and planning consultants in order to complete your project development tasks.
You will need to travel to project locations to meet with landowners, agents, developers, consultants and permitting officials.
You will work together with our International Development Department, report back to our central office in LONDON.
Business Development: support team with development in the area.
Permitting: review planning documentation in respect of new projects as part of the due diligence exercise, as well as existing projects to ensure on going compliance with planning conditions; co-ordinate with planning consultants to discharge planning conditions and submit variations, where necessary.
Interconnection: assist the grid team with planning and land related issues in respect of grid connection assets (such as ensuring legal consents are obtained for cables and substations in a timely fashion); review connection offers and interact with consultants and contractors on key project issues as part of the development team.
Land: review primary land documents (options, leases, easements etc.) as part of the due diligence exercise on new projects and supervise existing projects to ensure timely compliance with terms of land option agreements through co-ordination with lawyers and agents.
Regulatory: actively participate in regulatory processes and coordinate with the regulatory team to stay abreast with market changes and regulatory concerns which could positively or negatively impact projects.
Internal Coordination: Interface with engineering, legal, finance, procurement, construction, energy marketing and executive team members to accurately define and mitigate project risks and provide concise updates on project status.
Requirements:
Excellent writing skills are a must along with the ability to edit and proofread finished work product prepared by others.
Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
2 to 4 years of proven energy project permitting/development experience.
Knowledge of project development process and solar/wind/storage project budgets.
Ability to travel (Initially, possibly 1/2 days per week).
Project management including scoping projects, estimating costs, and creating schedule and budgets using management software such as excel, MS Project.
Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
Preferred, experience with GIS software.
Preferred, experience with land acquisition.
General knowledge of the planning and connection process for renewable energy projects.
Experience in UK needed and additional experience in REPUBLIC OF IRELAND a plus.

Your Role:
Carry out in-place structural analysis and design of offshore wind structures including wind turbine generator foundations, met masts and substation platforms
Undertake concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed designs
Carry out ultimate, serviceability, fatigue and accidental limit state design
Lead a project or work with a lead engineer to achieve delivery of projects within allotted budgets and timescales
Carry out foundation design involving soil/structure interaction
Undertake design for transportation and installation phases of offshore structures
Carry out analyses using SESAM or SACS software
Provide technical supervision to junior structural engineers as required

Ensure calibration system for inspection, measurement and test measuring equipment is in accordance with EPC / FEED Contract requirements.
Review and approve the Inspection and Test Plan and witness major activities.
Participating in reviewing the Project Execution Plan (PEP) prepared by EPC / FEED Contractor and ensuring that it addresses the applicable quality requirements to fulfil the overall Project requirements. The Project Execution Plan shall include all applicable forms that are needed to track and follow-up the Project requirements i.e. transmittal logs, control sheets, reports, inspection forms, follow up logs and NCR logs.
Ensure that the quality systems of Vendors and Sub-vendors is evaluated by EPC / FEED Contractor and complies with the Project Quality standards.
Ensure the auditing of quality system of Vendors and Sub-vendors, by EPC / FEED Contractor, as applicable.
Ensure that corrective and preventive actions raised under NCR's are implemented to address the root cause (as applicable) and to prevent recurrence.
Follow-up NCRs until close-out.
Develop the structure and requirements to be addressed in the monthly quality report to be issued by EPC / FEED Contractor.
Ensure that a proper system for QA/QC records is established and maintained by the EPC / FEED Contractor.
Requirements:
Minimum 7-years' experience in a similar role and managing solar projects
Managed quality system in large project
Experienced manager able to direct a team, and others that do not report directly.
Experience and understanding of quality issues within construction. Main focus to be quality but knowledge of environmental and health & safety issues would be beneficial.
Have a good knowledge of solar project construction processes and standards.
Must be able to evaluate information to assess compliance with requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

The Role
As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be directly working offshore wind projects and provide geotechnical input in the design and consultancy work.
Responsibilities
Experience with geotechnical/geophysical data and geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR). Experience managing geological/geotechnical ground models is an advantage
Leading the work packages of geotechnical engineering on offshore wind project portfolio - from feasibility through to detailed design with diverse tasks such as geo survey specification, geotechnical interpretation and assistance in certification
Providing technical input on project deliverables related to geotechnical subject for OWF

Structural/Geotechnical/Civil Engineering Degree, preferably with MSc
Chartered Member of ICE is preferable. Also accepted if currently working towards similar schemes
Worked on offshore wind development projects with input for geotechnical engineering in one or more of the foundation types such as Monopile, jacket, Suction base, or GBS
Good working knowledge of applicable regulations, codes of practice and standards, particularly for OWF and O&G projects
Piled foundation design experience is preferable, including familiarity with state-of-the art 3D FE design methods (PISA or equivalent)
Advanced level of understanding of geotechnical issues for OWF
Experience with proposals and CTR preparation

You will be responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation analysis to projects and/or tenders with specific focus on safe and cost-effective installation operations.
As a Stress Analysis Engineer, you will perform advanced finite element analyses (FEA) to support all PG engineering activities, in particular the operation of our reel-lay vessels. You will design 3D solid in-line pipe components, pipelines and other pressure equipment under high mechanical, thermal and pressure loads.
Ideally, you'll have experience working on Non-Linear Analyses problems within FEA and Contact FEA modelling, and you should have a strong background on Solid modelling and Abaqus (or similar) and preferably non-linear material modelling. The role is suited for all levels of experience, from recent MSc or PhD graduates to experienced engineers.

This will be performed in an ongoing basis with information provided by the various Engineering disciplines, Projects, Human Resources function and Finance. In addition, you will also be responsible for assisting and producing short, medium, and long term reports on the resource LTF (latest thinking forecast) which acknowledge the Group's strategic requirements.
A key part of the role is to explore new methods using digital technology with the aim to enhance and improve the efficiency in the processing and reporting of the information in a concise manner. You will work alongside both managers and developers in this role, for which you will gain valuable experience in understanding of the functions of each Engineering discipline within the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Managing forecast reporting of resourcing plan for all Engineering disciplines.
Ensuring data integrity, consistency and reconciliation with Engineering Discipline Managers and HR.
Undertaking detailed preparation of workforce data, interpreting, and presenting data in a coherent format for management team.
Developing dashboards and reporting, improving automation.
Consolidating functional country and project headcount and long-term resource forecasting.
Delivering the reports about the allocation of the resources.
Continuous development of resource forecasting planning tool. Working with digitalisation team to develop Global Resource Planning tools.
Based in Surrey or Paris with some travels to other company offices if required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Background in Data Analytics or Enterprise Resource Planning
Experience of building and maintaining reports and analytics
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerBI skills
Experience with Sharepoint and Python is appreciated
Experience dealing with large sets of data and being able to manipulate this into meaningful outputs
Analytical thinking and proactive skills
Strong attention to detail and data integrity focus
Results driven individual who can work independently with excellent organizational skills
Good communication skills and strong team spirit
Strong mindset to learn software skills to support business needs.
English is mandatory - French appreciated.

Liaise with other business units to extract data
Collate & maintain company cost data and norms
Assist in the development benchmarks
Assist in bid evaluations
Improve and maintain estimating methods and tools within the cost estimating function
Experience & Qualifications -
Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
Good understanding of construction techniques in the energy sector
Good knowledge of various cost estimating methods and accuracies
3 - 5 years of experience with cost estimation
