PURPOSE / TARGETS
Oilfield services. Workover Business Unit
Responsible in managing the Business Unit in the most profitable way, ensuring adequate support is provided on timely basis to all active countries.
Ensure the sustainability of the Business Unit both regionally and locally through operation & technical support, training & development as well as Business Development.
Will have functional reporting over each Business Units operations manager in the countries to ensure operational and contractual requirements are met
Shall serve as an integral part of the company's future through developing and implementing a comprehensive Business Unit strategy advocating growth and innovation
Responsibilities:
Setting a tailored strategy for profitable underwriting, marketing, and production growth of the Business Unit, to Manage the Business Units overall performance in unison with Corp Marketing Group and Country Managers to achieve the target combined ratio as well as production goals
Setting a budget in timely manner, working in unison with Country Manager/Director and Operations Managers, ensure that all Business unit locations have sufficient resources to run smooth and continuous operations without any disruption due to manufacturing & delivery of relevant and essential Assets and Spares which has been sold-off to the Customer with/for the services to achieve Customer & Company unified production goals and objectives.
Provide an analysis to monitor the progress, profitability, production and workflow assuring that we are in line company ethics and policies, and to supply report to the Senior Management Team.
Build and maintain a culture of trust and mutual respect with all Business Unit Managers, Country Managers, Sr. Management and subordinates based on honest feedback, clearly defined expectations, open communications, accessibility and consistency at all levels
Experience:
Must have at least 15 years' experience in workover rigs filed and operations
Business development experience
Knowledgeable to look after the company P & L account

Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for leading and coordinating Projects Teams formed to provide complete projects management services to execute assigned projects in onshore areas from inception to completion and hand over.
Prepare or review and implement project plans such as Project Execution, Risk Management, Assurance, Quality, HSE interface etc.
Manage and coordinate a team of multi discipline Engineers to achieve a safe and cost effective design through timely resolution of technical and engineering issues.
Participate in the preparation of tender packages, tendering process, evaluation of tenders and submissions with appropriate recommendations to relevant tender Committees.
Generate and maintain risk registers by updating these in order to ensure that risks are managed and mitigated.
Interface closely with end user and other stakeholders including Government and Statutory authorities and other third party entities such as JVs.
Participate in the processing and resolution and Variations and Contractor claims.
Participate and provides input to support project schedule, project cost, budget, contract administration, progress reporting, change management and gate approval activities.
Participate in the review and development of company procedures and guidelines as and when assigned.
Assist and mentor Qatari Engineers with their assigned development program and supervise their progress.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
B.Sc. Degree in an Engineering discipline from any recognized University; higher post graduate qualification would be advantageous.
Membership in a recognized professional engineering and/or project management association/institution would be an advantage.
A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience in engineering, project management and execution of oil & gas projects
Variable depending on role:
Experience managing and executing brownfield projects on Oil and Gas projects.
Experience in Pipeline and downstream tankages projects.
Experience managing projects independently as the client/owner representative, preferably with an IOC.
Experience in engineering coordination with various discipline Engineers during feasibility and concept optimization studies, FEED and EPIC.
Can demonstrate skilled practitioner level in the following competencies: Manage Engineering Definition Activities, Coordinate Operational Requirements and philosophies into the Project, Manage Detailed Design Activities, Manage Construction Activities, Manage Operational Readiness and Assurance Process including Commissioning and Start-up, Handover and Close Out the project, Develop Project Execution Strategies and Plans, manage Project Interfaces, support Management of Change (MOC), manage and communicate Project Performance, identify and manage Project Risks, Understand and manage project to meet the project schedule, support planning department in developing WBS, manage Project within cost and budget, manage contracts including changes and variations, understand and Mmanage GCOC's, manage equipment and material procurement of Long Lead Items, manage contractor claims and resolution, identify and manage HSE risks
