Main Responsibilities
Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to support client Construction of industrial Project in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
Liaise with construction perosnnel and addresssite queries during construction
Review, comment on and approves drawings related to his field of activity
Review and comment on supplier and other discipline drawings
Advise the Construction team on site and propose corrective actions for any technical issues/discrepancies during construction
Perform all assigned work to agreed standardsfor safety, health environment and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) performance
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
15 years minimum industrial experience
10 years experience working on Construction sites
Relevant work experience on similar projects (Design and Construction) is a must
Full knowledge of Saudi Standards
Relevant work experience on the construction of Industrial buildings (Structural, Architectural, Plumbing, HVAC etc.)
The candidate will have considerable experience in Civil Engineering especially in the Oil and Gas Industry
Candidate will be fully familiar with terminology used and adopted in the Oil and Gas business.
Candidate will have a range of technical abilities related to all technical aspects of industrial buildings, in additional to the Civil related knowledge (site preparation, site development, underground utilities, landscaping, etc.)
Candidate will have good understanding of topographical, geophysical and geotechnical issues
The successful candidate can bring at appropriate times, innovation to the engineering process from their background
High Level of spoken and written English is mandatory

Overall Purpose of the Role: To collect and analyses data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product/contract & services. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others. Key Responsibilities: General and Task Management
Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions.
Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with stakeholders in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products
Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data
Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement
Assess cost effectiveness of products and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts
Monitor and review data and information to detect or assess problems
Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review
Contribute to cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures and monitor trends
Prepare cost and expenditure statements, reports and other necessary documentation at regular intervals to share with others in the business
Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements
Relationship Management
Liaise with stakeholders and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information and data
Provide cost estimates during change process and advise of cost impact of changes. Track and monitor activity
Work with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and to make appropriate adjustments and resolve issues
Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization.
Ensure supplier quotations meet 'should cost' estimates
Support supplier meetings and negotiations to challenge quotation prices and aim for cost reductions to meet target costs
Support and utilise experience to aid best practice in the supplier process in conjunction with members of the purchasing team
Liaise with purchasing department to provide continued feedback to ensure competitive pricing

Responsibilities for this position include:
Assist the team in the management of bids, working in partnership with the appointed business development manager to deliver agreed outputs within timescales set by the customer
Develop proposal templates and responses for complex Request for Proposals
Actively participate in bid strategy meetings to prepare proposal responses
Write technical content/scope for tender/contract document
Produce written outlines, drafts, and revisions as needed
Assist in bid/response process for entire Request for Proposal process
Develop presentation packages and briefing documentation
Ensure proposal content is industry best-in-class
Leading facilitation of solution articulation processes for proposals by facilitating inputs across groups contribute to the same
Applying prior presales experience to provide inputs to (drive execution of) initiatives and projects to increase visibility of the function, sharpen service offerings, design integrated solutions, deepen engagements with the client facing team sales
Analyzes requirements and specifications, obtaining compliance information and sign-off as appropriate from Legal, Pricing, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Management
Executes against bid response plans, including writing, editing and graphic design consistent with brand guidelines and style guides
Support commercial negotiation in the contract phase through change management of the solution during negotiation, and managing information flow
Collaborates with other team members to effect continuing process improvement
Drafting and writing and/or bid submission responses using persuasive and positive language
To be at the forefront of industry developments and client drivers to align bid responses with client/project strategic goals
Liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders to determine final tender response recommendations and solutions for each proposal submission
Develop a knowledge bank of bid material, evidence and responses to facilitate strategic development of quality responses
Qualifications for bid writer
Strong corporate strategic and technical writing experience
At least seven years' experience as a professional writer
A demonstrated portfolio of high-level, professional and technical writing
A degree or qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR, or similar related discipline
Experience in scope writing and bid-related role
Engineering/maintenance experience
Solid experience in tender proposal planning, writing, review and delivery
Desktop publishing (intermediate) experience, underpinned with Microsoft Office is essential
Ability to develop a close working relationship with key company stakeholders
High level of personal organization and time management, ability to work flexibly
