DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
My client is looking for an Installation / Field Development (FD) & Technical Tenders Engineer to work in the Pipeline Group based out of their London office. The role covers the installation engineering support to be provided to Field Development groups and country pursuit teams as part of their early engagement strategy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation engineering work on Field Development studies and FEEDs related to S&J or Reel pipe laying operations with specific focus on safe and cost-effective installation solutions. This role will report in to the Installation Engineering Field Development Lead - Pipeline Group.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Overall Responsibilities:

  • Deliver installation engineering deliverables for studies / FEEDs
  • Performs early installation engineering checks to support requests from Country pursuit teams using installation tools and benchmarks (e.g. preliminary feasibility assessment, preliminary time estimate, competition screening)
  • Ensures quality of installation engineering deliverables on FEEDs / studies and aligned with latest technical positions on key subject matters
  • Proposes innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction
  • Proactively highlight complex issues to Installation Engineering Field Development & Pursuit Lead
  • Use Pipeline Group norms and benchmarks on studies and FEEDs
  • Support interfaces with internal clients
  • Support as required Business Improvement studies, Technical Developments Activities and complex tenders
  • Participates actively to the Installation Engineering and Tendering departments know-how consolidation

The HR E&P Advisor is based in London reporting directly to the HR Manager - Oil Assets, and will work alongside another HR E&P Business Partner sharing responsibilities and collaborating on key projects. The successful candidate will have full HR generalist oversight for the company Exploration and Production (E&P) business unit whose operations are coordinated via London but whose operation presence is on the ground in the Republic of Chad, Central Africa. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the E&P business unit has access to a capable and responsive HR resource who will support the day to day operational HR needs. The HR Advisor will have access to general HR support from the wider HR team, especially in areas such as employee relations and compensation and benefits but will be expected to take ownership of recruitment initiatives, ongoing record keeping, systems data and E&P specific contractor / consultancy agreements. Key Responsibilities
Staffing/ Resourcing

  • Manages the London E&P staff client & acts as the point of contact for the E&P business unit to understand, provide advice and facilitate HR related requests at all levels, building relationships with the business cross-functionally.
  • Works with the business unit to support workforce planning and recruitment, which includes the full resourcing and onboarding lifecycle.
  • Negotiates with resourcing suppliers for preferable terms and rates, managing the process for hiring new staff in London and the wider business unit.
  • Manages the arrangements in place for Expat staff in Chad, including maintaining accurate records, understanding the payroll set up and ongoing contract and administration for headcount changes.

Budget / Forecasting

  • Works with the London Finance and Contracts and Procurement teams to ensure accurate records are kept for the purpose of budgeting and forecasting.


Visas / Work Permits

  • Works with the business unit, travel coordinator and secretarial staff to oversee the visa / work permit process for transfers to / from different business units.


General

  • Works with the wider HR team on the development and implementation of HR policies and projects and assists in delivering change management activities within the initiatives.
  • Contributes to a process of continuous improvement in the HR team.
  • Challenges the organisational structure/HR related processes of the business unit where appropriate.

Operations and Maintenance Manager - Role and Job Description
Role
Reporting to the Director of Gas Generation and supporting him in running a growing portfolio of gas fuelled power stations.

The role includes commercial and budgetary responsibility as well as direct responsibility for the operations and maintenance of the plant. The role will also provide significant support and guidance to development and capital procurement teams, influencing future plant scoping and design to ensure operability of the fleet. A time served engineer with good commercial awareness will fulfil this senior position within this company.

Direct experience in developing and defining maintenance philosophy, establishing operating policy, setting standards and procedures, recruiting and managing maintenance staff and sub-contractors to meet company objectives is a prerequisite of the role.

The role will include:


Drawing up and implementing Operational and Maintenance Strategy, as the fleet grows, managing the balance of third party service provision using OEMs and independent providers, versus establishing in house capability
Providing support for setting and responsible for achieving O&M cost budgets
Providing support for setting and responsible for achieving KPIs for operational and maintenance performance of the company's plant and fleet to ensure O&M contributes to meeting company and plant revenue budgets
Maximising operational effectiveness and driving out cost savings to improve profitability
Maintaining focus on future and impending regulatory issues and minimising the impact of changes in legislation
Demonstrate leadership in developing the team and individuals so that regular progress towards objectives can be made

Key Responsibilities

1. Health and Safety


To be responsible for the overall safe operations and maintenance of all plant and equipment in the fleet. To ensure that all employees, visitors and contractors are working in a safe manner. To report and rectify any unsafe equipment, acts or dangerous occurrences.

2. Operations and Maintenance


To ensure that the plant and equipment is operated and maintained to the appropriate standard.
To ensure that PPM programme is implemented across the operation to minimise operational and compliance risk, and drive business efficiencies
Establish inventory policies and systems to ensure adequate and appropriate stocks and replacement parts for short and long term objectives.
To maintain adequate records that may be required during audits from external organisations.
To develop Key Performance Indicators such that business unit performance can be measured and monitored.
To ensure that proper and safe working routines and practices are in use and adhered to across the operations.
To report plant and machinery issues that will impact on business unit performance.
To develop and foster necessary working relationships with other departments, suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
To manage contracts for 3rd party OEM or independent maintenance service providers, holding parties to account to perform their obligations and enforcing the company's rights and negotiation of replacement terms or modifications where appropriate
To manage warranty claims under EPC construction contracts and or maintenance and equipment supply contracts.
To support commercial department in any insurance claims that may need to be made.
To liaise with local planning and regulatory authorities, neighbours, and communities within which we operate.
To manage 3rd party contracts such as drainage, telecoms and other utility contracts where appropriate.

3. Financial management

Develop and implement financial budget for the area of responsibility in conjunction with the finance team to meet company objectives (annual budget, [5 year plan])

Responsible for budget forecasting and expenditure controls to meet financial objectives.

Monitor and report variations against budget and implement necessary actions to rectify performance against agreed targets.
Help Support commercial team in preparation for monthly reports to lenders where appropriate.

Project Director - Owner / Operator - LNG - Western Europe
Our client, a major Owner / Operator, are currently seeking a Project Director to join their organization on a Permanent basis in a Western European City. This position, will be focused on the delivery of a Multi-Billion Dollar LNG Project, which is currently in Design Phase.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for budget, schedule and scope, as well as HSE aspects.
  • Manage Leadership Team and lead project planning and project implementation activities to bring the Project to completion
  • Lead and manage the activities of the sub-teams.
  • Identify, develop and execute overall project implementation strategy including but not limited to operations, sales, partnership and HR strategies.
  • Design and build organisation.
  • Manage the identification, development and execution of strategies and ensure the consistency between overall project implementation strategy and operations, commercial and partnership strategies.
  • Manage the interface between Contractor and Project Management Teams.


Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 15 years of Leadership experience of large scale LNG Projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years LNG Commissioning & Operations experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Owner / Operator background within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • EU Passport Holder.

Operations Manager - Oil & Gas - Owner / Operator - LNG Project - Europe


My client, a large scale Operator whom are in the early stages of a MEGA LNG project, are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in a Western European City location. This position will require a candidate with extensive LNG Operations experience whom has supported a MEGA project from Pre-Operations phase through to Commercial Operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendors and contractors to assure value delivery of contracted services and to develop solutions to complex business problems.
  • Management of Operations experience, with directly related and demonstrated supervisory experience in LNG Facilities.
  • Strong business, technical and project management skills to conceptualize, recommend, design, and implement operations solutions in a timely manner.
  • This position partners with multiple functions such as E&C, finance modelling, permitting, safety, corporate IT to perform technical reviews, provide philosophies.
  • Proficient in project management tools, methodologies, and technical platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience on distributed control and logic systems, SIS, ESD, Gas and fire detection system.


Experience / Education:

  • Minimum of 10 x years' experience within LNG Operations.
  • Owner / Operator background supporting large scale projects.
  • Bachelors of Chemical Engineering Degree.
  • EU Passport Holder.

OSBL Project Engineer - Owner / Operator - Oil & Gas - London
Our client, a leading Operator with Ownership of a Multi-Billion Dollar LNG Project, are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a background in the Design and Operations of large scale LNG projects. This position is an immediate need and will be based in London.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all corporate standards and Project HSSE requirements are adhered to and implemented.
  • Ensure HSE is emphasized throughout all OSBL design activities. Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
  • Ensure execution of all OSBL design aspects of the assigned project(s) in accordance with project standards and guidelines, procedures, Quality Program, project plans and contractual obligations.
  • Participate in project risk, process, constructability, commissioning, start-up, HAZID / HAZOP and other safety reviews as required.
  • Ensure Contractor is progressing in line with Company expectation and established execution plan.
  • Oversight and coordination of Contractor Planning and execution activities.
  • Lead and direct all functions necessary to safely and efficiently execute the OSBL scope.
  • Lead OSBL planning and schedule efforts during EPC phase of projects.
  • Work with commissioning and construction to identify and plan system turnover requirements to support timely facility start-up.
  • Establish and execute the process plan, including the exchange of information and ensuring effective communication and the addressing and tracking of needs, requirements, and issues.
  • Act as Company representative for the execution of specified Work Packages.
  • Management of change offshore and ensure the MOC process is adhered to.
  • Ensure that the appropriate levels of quality control are exercised.
  • Facilitate communications between project and Contractor.
  • Provide input to progress meetings and reports.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) or more years' design and operational experience in the LNG industry with emphasis on the Design and Operation of LNG Facilities. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years prior experience working as an Engineer (ideally Project/ Process /Mechanical) in an operating LNG and/or gas processing facility. A min of 2 years must be from an operating LNG facility. * Must have experience working in the commissioning of an LNG facility.
  • Experience in the liaising and working both within the design and operational facility environment. * Knowledge of and ability to use simulation/modelling preferred.
  • Proven track record holding similar position within other operational LNG facilities.
  • Strong experience in LNG operational procedure review.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working within a value assurance frame work and detailed knowledge of the application of Process safety in an operation.
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry best in class specifications and practices. * Experience in working in a project team of engineers.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interact well with many people.
