Mechanical Technician - UAE national

  • Executing day to day Maintenance of the onshore and offshore mechanical systems. Ensuring that the integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability of relevant mechanical equipment is preserved; so that the production targets can be achieved. Constant use and review of best practice maintenance tactics. Provide first line onshore support for the execution of the planned and corrective maintenance strategies necessary to maintain and repair equipment.



Qualification
Degree/Diploma preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
2-3 year experience in mechanical shop (suitable experience may come from the heavy auto trade (truck repair) shipyard, marine industry or from pump and compressor repair contractors.

Control System Engineer

  • 10 years system engineering preferably with TUV (SIS) certification, design, installation and integration experience in an Oil and Gas development environment , including experience in DCS and PLC preferably with invensys/Foxbro I/A series and delta DCS, triconex PLCs, Allen Bradley, Rockwell PLCs/ Control logix / GE PAC PLC and HMI software.



Experience with the following is preferable

  • Turbines, Compressors, Pump Controls, Process Control
  • Rolls royce/Solar/Dresser Equipment
  • Vibration monitoring system
  • Gas Compressor Surge Control System
  • Fire and Gas Emergency shutdown
  • Working knowledge and experience in offshore oil and gas, industry codes specifications and practices (HSE, API, NFPA, ISA, IEC etc) Familiar with process safety management,
  • Proficiency in automation and control systems hardware/software development and trouble shooting.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent

  2. Develop time estimates of planned maintenance work
  3. Packages the work with the tasks, disciplines, materials, duration, tools, estimated resources, (Bag & Tag) and services to effectively complete the work. All date to be updated in the system
  4. Raise the required permit to work and communicate with the PTW coordinator & operation team to clarify any permits related issues with operation
  5. Always check the standard task list when new notifications are raised.
  6. Establish and manage a standard work pack for all work to repair repeatable failure scenarios.
  7. Continually improving planning, material ordering, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency
  8. Should perform ready for execution checks and check material availability and update status when all materials are available and correct.
  9. Discuss potential improved scopes with the maintenance and operations teams to improve the quality of the work pack.
  10. Assist the planning engineers & schedulers in drafting the schedule of the major jobs

  • Job Accountabilities Cont..:

Lead the contract administration process and quantity survey

Participate in contract preparations and evaluations

Ensure contractors are in compliance with project control procedures / requirements with a smooth flow of reporting / KPI/ physical progress from contractors

Conduct quality audits

Close-out of contracts (technical, commercial) and relevant project close-out activities.

Assurance of main contractor's costs & schedule are in alignment

Perform regular basis QPR (Quarterly performance reviews) to main contractors.

Prepare miscellaneous ad-hoc reports as and when required for the Project management team & Shareholders

  • Education:

University Degree in Engineering related discipline or equivalent relevant experience in projects

  • Experience/Technical competencies:

Sufficient projects/industry experience to understand the key drives of projects success

Sufficient knowledge of the discipline of cost, schedule, risk and contracts management and how they are interlink to be able to direct the work of his team

Sufficient understanding of commercial aspects and corporate financial reporting aspects and constraints for an effective interface with the accounting and finance function.

Understanding the use of the main Projects control tools (PIM's, Primavera, Microsoft projects)

  • Key soft skills:
  • Good presentation, interpersonal and customer interaction skills.
  • Good negotiation skills to support Project manager
  • Facilitation skills and sufficient management skills to effectively coordinate the work of his team
  • MS Office tools (PowerPoint, excel, word), SharePoint.
  • Open-minded and good team-player

Job Spec:

The Lead Planning Engineer shall hold a relevant degree from a recognized university
