Location: Gulf of Mexico operations

Petroplan is currently working with an E&P business who are in the process of increasing their Gulf of Mexico footprint. Due to this continued expansion, a need has arisen within the business to add an additional Wellsite Drilling Engineer to their Gulf of Mexico operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming projects.

In this position, you will report into both the Rig site supervisors and the onshore Drilling Superintendent and be heavily involved in the operatoinal phase of the drilling program. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Establish and promote safety and environmental performance expectations with employees and contractors in accordance with the Company's safety policies and Safe Sound initiative.
  • Preparing operational plans for planned wells and liaising with other departments when required
  • Responsible for drilling optimization, identifying best practises and running lessons learned when required
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

Experienced Required

  • At least 10 years of Drilling Engineering experience
  • Offshore experience (Gulf of Mexico preferred)
  • Recent Wellsite Engineering experience

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

Petroplan is seeking a Document Management Associate for our client, an LNG operator based in Houston TX.
The Document Management Associate is primarily responsible for performing Document Management (DM) and Records Management (RM) activities for various LNG Projects as assigned by the Information Management Supervisor and/or Project Director. The Document Management Associate will also process project records and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project policies/protocols, coordinate the capture, preservation, and organization of project records, and administrate project document repositories and third-party document management systems.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administration and maintenance of project documents in the Document Management System(s) (DMS) for LNG & Midstream construction projects, commercial development projects, and other project initiatives.
  • Coordinates new user account creation and configures appropriate access to project information repositories.
  • Actively monitors, evaluates, and captures project information and records and prepares to upload them to the project DMS.
  • Processes, tracks and coordinates all contractor deliverables, transmittals, and other critical project information
  • Serves as key Document Control interface between the internal project team and key contractors
  • Trains, supports and monitors internal and external project team members ensuring proper compliance to project Document Control protocols.
  • Performs quality checks to ensure that project records are complete, legible and appropriate for submittal to the DMS.
  • Provides end users support and assistance with researching or retrieving documents and basic use of project repositories.
  • Conducts group and individual training as appropriate. Develops training materials in the form of presentations and handout materials.

Qualification and Experience Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or Applied Sciences preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Engineering Project Document Control and administration of Document Management Systems. Requires proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite applications, PDF and AutoCAD files formats, document management systems, data entry or other computer input preferred, quality management systems and processes.
  • Certified Document Controller preferred
  • Strong business, technical, technology and project management skills. Proficient in project management tools, methodologies, and technical platforms.
  • Knowledge and proven application of Document Control principles and practices
  • Excellent program/project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Cost Analyzer to work for a Dallas based oil and gas company on a contract basis. The project is expected to last 18 months.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include definition, expansion, and support of P&F cost controls system, including but not limited to, cost estimating, tracking, analysis, and reporting for all P&F projects. This position will work proactively with project managers, facilities engineers, financial analysts, consulting firms, and other stakeholders to generate project budgets and forecasts, track project costs from planning through engineering and construction, and deploy cost control processes & tools. Reports to the Project Services Manager.

  • Develop and maintain a best in class cost control system and associated processes to track and report costs for a large number of projects from initial planning through engineering and construction. This position will help control more than $400MM in transactions per year.
  • Work within company's team structure to gather cost data from a variety of sources. This will require general knowledge of oil and gas facility design and construction to aid in the interpretation and refinement of data.
  • Work with project managers, financial analysts, and engineering consultants to obtain cost status data and generate reports.
  • Work closely with company's Supply Chain Management department to obtain all necessary price information for purchased products and services, and provide comparison data for purchased costs vs. project estimates.
  • Define the processes, work flows, and data required for creation of a comprehensive cost reporting system.
  • Prepare cost estimates, status reports, formal weekly and monthly reports and presentations as needed by the project teams, Denbury Management, and other project stakeholders.

Skills/Experience

  • 8 years' experience in cost planning, project planning, and cost control
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Possess strong knowledge of cost control systems
  • Explosure to the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Scheduler/Planner include implementing all parts of a Facilities and Construction schedule system, including, but not limited to implementing and developing systems to report the project status, milestones achieved and missed and schedule projections for each of the projects undertaken by the group. This individual will work with the engineers and project managers to obtain schedule requirements; with consulting firms to obtain updated schedule information and plans.

  • Execute and develop a best in class planning and scheduling system to track and report the schedule for a large number of projects with recognition for front end loading stages.
  • Work within company's team structure to gather schedule data from a variety of sources. This will require general knowledge of oil and gas facility design and construction to be able to correctly interpret duration for work components.
  • Work with engineering consultants and contractors to obtain status reports.
  • Work closely with supply chain to obtain all necessary information on planned duration for purchased products and services and include a comparison of the vendors' schedule to schedule estimates in reports.
  • Combine all data and information received into a comprehensive schedule reporting system.

Skills/Experience

Working with an operating company in Ingleside who are on the look out for a HSE Advisor to join their team overseing Construction/Fabrication of their project.


This position reports to the Site HSE Lead. The Site HSE Advisor shall ensure that identified health, safety, environment, and security requirements are implemented by appropriate personnel and contractors. The position shall also ensure that HS&E processes are being adhered to (audit / assess) in accordance with site standards, and legislated standards for health, safety, and environment.

Primary Functions:

  • Maintain and implement HSE standards throughout all project related activities. This includes, review, maintain safety plans, promotion of HSE on sites, incident management, BBS, Training and Competency support, Partnership for Safety Support.
  • Conduct Audits/Inspections on contractor scopes.
  • Collect analysis and report project HSE data and metrics.
  • Conduct/Participate and Review Risk Assessments as required.
  • Support site construction team.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a construction and fabrication environment major projects.
  • Certificates in Standard First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection and Confined Space.
  • Certificate in Accident Investigation.
  • Valid Driver's License.



The following qualifications and competencies would be considered assets:

  • Post-secondary education in the field of Health, Safety and Environmental Science.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma or Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry.

This contract opportunity will be located in Lafayette, LA.
Prospective candidates will be responsible for:

  • performing inspections of various operations activities.
  • Generating reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems.
  • Complete documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.

Requirements:
Expected to work - Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed.
Night shift hours.

  • 3 years experience using inspection tools in regards to dimensional inspections.
  • Experience using optical comparator (optional but preferred), MTR review, Comprehension of company specifications/policies.
  • P.I.T. experience.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T.
  • 100% Dimensional inspection of newly manufactured parts, both lathe and mill work. Verification of technology driven specifications.
