Completions Supervisor

Position: Completions supervisor

Job type: 2/2 Rotation

Location: North Dakota

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional Completions Supervisor for their North Dakota operations.

In this position, you will be responsible for the supervision of well completion flowback operations while working very closely and maintaining a strong working relationship with the HSE team. A key challenge of this position will be hold the service contractor activities during the completion phase to the expected and required levels also serving as Person-In-Charge (PIC) during SIMOPS. Along with this you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the operations staff to collect and maintain required EHS data
  • Well Control preparations, including verification of BOP testing and documented barrier management.
  • Supervises completion activities to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and well plans are followed.
  • Providing support to the investigation of Company violations of a regulatory nature, including field investigations

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 5 years of recent experience working as Frac/Flowback/completions supervisor for an E&P operator directly.

Petroplan is currently working with an expansion focused E&P business who are in the process of increasing rig activity. Due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the business to add a highly experienced Completion Supervisor to their Permian operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the on site superintendent and act as the focal point for all completion activity. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner.

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a Completion Supervisor. Experience working in the Permian is preferred.

Principal HSE Consultant

Petroplan are looking to recruit a Principal HSE Consultant/Manager to join a London based team on a long term contract basis.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to be part of the development of a dynamic and growing business.

As a minimum, candidates must hold a Bachelors (essential) and Masters degree (desirable) in a science related discipline, and have a minimum of 5-6 years relevant HSE consultancy experience in the offshore oil and gas sector.

Ideally candidates who have technical knowledge / experience of one of more of the following is great:

  • HSE Management Systems
  • UKCS permitting and consents management, including knowledge of the UK Oil Portal and BEIS Portal Environmental Tracking System
  • HSE Auditing
  • Offshore experience is desirable, but not essential.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of implementing and maintaining HSE management systems in the oil and gas industry and management of the ISO 14001 certification process
  • Knowledge of UKCS oil and gas regularly framework, industry standards and good international industry practice
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, but also as part of a team

Senior Accountant - Temporary Contract

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assists with monthly financial closing and issuance of financial statements.
  • Responsible for monthly GL reconciliations with supporting schedules, and related journal entries
  • Responsible for monthly analysis and reporting
  • Reconciles accounts and maintains the chart of accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of variance analysis on monthly/quarterly/annually basis
  • Assists with the creation of year-end GAAP financial statements.
  • Maintains the fixed asset accounting system.
  • Prepares various sales reporting required by HQ
  • Liaise with various sites and other head office departments as queries may arise
  • Supports the budget process.
  • Supports the annual financial audit.
  • Works with outside accountants in support of the income tax filing.
  • Assist with various ad-hoc projects as required

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting is required
  • Designated CPA/CA/CMA
  • 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant.
  • Knowledge of both Canadian & US GAAP, intercompany transactions, multi-level reporting, foreign currency translation and consolidations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Sage 50 and Access
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, and/or Hyperion reporting an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, oral and inter-personal.

Our client, a large Oil & Gas owner/operator organization is looking to add a Contracts Coordinator/Technician based in St. John's, NL, this is a 1 year independent contract. Regular Monday to Friday, 40 hours week.

This individual will provide SCM business process support such as vendor master creation, outline agreement creation, etc. Furthermore, assist contract specialists in tracking and measuring compliance with project, regional, and corporate SCM standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create, implement and maintain tracking systems and ensure signing authorities are adhered to for commitments
  • Prepare and draft correspondence, assist in presentation preparation, assemble reports and materials in advance of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting periods
  • Conduct and assist with Contract Formation activities

Key Qualifications

The Operations Manager will work very closely with the VP operations to oversee and plan all upstream activities currently ongoing and planned operations. Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and implementing field development planning, with a heavy emphasis on driving profitability
  • Experience with unconventional drilling and completions
  • Act as the leadership focal point for all technical and operational staff, including all production engineers, field superintendents, facilities engineers, land managers and D&C engineers.
  • Working very closely with the HSE team to introduce a strong safety culture

You must have at least 20 years of oil & Gas experience with a Bachelor's of Science, ideally with a strong financial understanding. You will have a very strong understanding of Project management principles and experience working on upstream operations in multiple capacities either Drilling, Completions or production.

Security Analyst

This is an incredibly varied role. This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a growing company in the energy sector. They are currently a small shop and therefore this is the type of role that requires you to wear many hats!

The position is focused on analyzing information, security systems and applications. With responsibility for supporting the corporate information security strategy, analyzing audit findings and ensuring proper remediation. You will also be acting as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end users.

We are looking for someone who has a background in service desk/desktop support but also someone who has good security experience.

Active Directory is a must as is familiarity with some IDS/IPS tools and technologies.

It is likely the successful candidate will have their Security or something similar.
