Petroplan conducts in depth interviews with all short listed candidates, ideally in person but if their location precludes this, we will always try to arrange a Skype call or video conference. This face to face interaction is integral to the process; Petroplan is always cognisant of the client’s corporate culture (usually discussed in detail during the client brief), and conscious that recruitment is a critical client investment, with a good cultural fit usually leading to high retention rates.
Our discipline-specific recruitment teams are totally immersed in their particular areas of specialism; as a result, our recruitment services are underpinned by an exceptional level of technical knowledge and experience; and an inherent ability in our teams to very quickly pinpoint any anomalies on candidate CV’s that may be of concern to our clients.
Whilst we have formal screening procedures in place that allow us to perform high levels of due diligence in verifying the authenticity of candidate qualifications, accreditation and certificates – our recruitment specialists are also trained to use their common sense and apply their industry knowledge – if it is not immediately apparent that a qualification is from a well-known and widely respected training provider, the recruitment specialist or a researcher may do some further investigating by phone or via internet research – ultimately saving our clients time and money.
