  • Actively involved in the capture, management and closure of opportunities and risks pertaining to SSP from planning through to execution and project closeout.
  • Further develop and manage existing and potential / emerging scopes pertaining to the offshore execution window of SSP in 2020.
  • Respond to interfaces and coordinate work with other business unit functions and external 3rd Parties, including installation contractors, equipment suppliers, and certifying authority to support the planning, delivery and execution of SSP in accordance with company Operational Excellence Management System framework
  • Ensure the incorporation of industry best practices, particularly with respect to subsea construction/diving procedure development, with the aim of reducing cost/risk and improving performance while working within approved budgets and schedules
  • Reviewing project and operations documentation in a timely manner as part of various engineering reviews, risk assessments/analysis, action closures and readiness reviews associated with SSP.
  • Liaise with Marine Warranty Surveyor as required
  • Willingness for periodic travel to 3rd Party sites in support of project delivery, including international destinations, as required.
  • Ability and willingness for offshore travel during the offshore execution phase in 2020, including equipment readiness checks, vessel mobilization(s), offshore execution and demobilization(s) as an installation engineer / client representative onboard the Dive Support Vessel or other installation contractor vessel(s), as required.


As offshore client representative:

  • Ensure that SIMOPS reviews and SJAs are carried out and agreed prior to start of activities.
  • Oversee all offshore activities to ensure compliance to approved procedures and industry best practices
  • Anticipate and advise Contractor re checklists for transfers, close proximity, field entry and other general requirements.
  • Ensure Management of Change process is followed, documented and signed off by appropriate levels of authority in accordance with project specific MOC guidance note.



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8-10 years' oil & gas experience.
  • Sound knowledge and experiences of subsea engineering, installation and commissioning activities, particularly pertaining to saturated diving and FPSO mooring systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as an offshore engineer or client representative during major subsea construction project(s).
  • Experience with adhering to industry standard project delivery models and associated project management systems such as EH&S, cost control, planning, quality, document control and management of change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage and motivate external 3rd parties, including consultants and sub-contractors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills to build effective relationships, gain support for recommendations and resolve project issues.

Senior Pipeline Engineer (Subsea)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer (Subsea), working for a client of ours in their London office. The Senior Pipeline Engineer will specialise in both the design and analysis of offshore pipelines.
Key Requirements

  • Provide specialist skills in areas of subsea pipelines, including design codes, and must show strong engineering practice
  • Candidate will also need to be competent within design calculations, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations and study reports
  • Provide mechanical and integrity calculations for offshore pipelines using DNV Tools, AutoPIPE, Abaqus or similar software
  • Coordinate pipeline engineering support to the execution of multi-discipline projects in line with defined budget and schedule
  • Liaise with associated subsea related disciplines and understand the interfaces within a project
  • Provide pipeline engineering assistance during occasional periods of offshore or site working
  • Provide pipeline engineering support to Business Acquisition and FEED study execution
  • Train / mentor junior and Graduate engineers
  • Actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development



Skills Required
Essential

  • Professional qualifications - Degree qualified or above
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and deliver work to deadlines set by management
  • Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
  • Produces work of presentable quality
  • Able to provide analysis support for projects using analysis packages


Desirable

  • MSc or PHD in STEM subject
  • Membership to a relevant Professional body
  • Engineering experience within the Subsea industry
  • Experience within AutoPIPE, AGA etc. industry approved software
  • ABAQUS experience for advanced pipeline design and analysis

Subsea Engineer

Job Function:

Essential Skills

Technical experience within Subsea Systems (mainly XTs and Subsea Production Systems plus Structures, and SURF) in Deepwater Developments in all the project phases (design, tender, construction/testing and installation).

Main Responsibilities and Activities (as listed but not limited to the following):

· Support to Production and Operations team

- Provide engineering and project execution support for existing equipment,

- Define execution for the subsea intervention plan and coordinate the execution offshore.

- Actively work in creating and building on the knowledge of subsea intervention,

- Develop task plans for subsea project,

· Design of the facilities:

- safe design of the facilities compliant with the company policies and international standards & regulations

- design ensuring operability, maintainability and reliability of the facilities

- overall coordination and consistency of project activities: coordination of interfaces

· Overall control of project schedule

· Overall control of project costs:

- preparation of budget

- follow-up of commitments, expenses and cost forecast

· Respect of statutory requirements

· Management of contractors

· Prepare close-out report and lesson learnt sessions for all work executed offshore.

Qualification & Experience:

MSc. Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, with 5 to 10 years relevant experience

in the oil and gas industry

Experienced working on subsea intervention projects, familiarity with work class ROV operations
