Position: Well Interventions supervisor

Job type: 2/2 Rotation

Location: Deepwater, Gulf of Mexico

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional Well Interventions Supervisor for their Gulf of Mexico operations team.

In this position, you will be responsible for the supervision of Well site Intervention operations while working very closely and maintaining a strong working relationship with the HSE team. A key challenge of this position will be working closely with the Operations Leader to direct the activities of the Operators, Maintenance Personnel, Technical Staff and Administration staff. Along with this you will be responsible for:

  • Participates in Well Program reviews with the Engineering team and assures lessons are captured and shared effectively.
  • May perform shop visits, participate in crew engagement meetings, witness SITs or tool teardowns as needed.
  • Ensures site safety and environment management systems are implemented as designed and are consistent with internal policies and standards.
  • Responsible for providing input to task level self-verification and Contractor oversight checks at the Well Site.
  • Stop the job and assess risk in the event of any program changes or changes to risk mitigation barriers (procedural or physical).
  • Manage the planning, coordination and prioritization of materials and logistic operations to and from the Well Site.
  • Verifies the awareness, understanding and conformance to both the Well Control and SMS Bridging documents with the Well Site teams.

You must have at least 15 years of experience within Well site supervision, Experience in complex completion & intervention ops, including dual zone stacked frac packs, DHFC completions, acid stimulations, flowbacks, coiled tubing and slickline work is highly desirable.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

QA/QC Mechanical Inspector

Petroplan's client, Downstream Operator is looking to add a QA/QC Mechanical Inspector to join their team. This is for a Greenfield Gas to Liquid Project.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take product measurements and samples; accurately and promptly; perform related calculations; complete required reports and forms; perform inventories; do non-petroleum or chemical inspection assignments.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment and keep all issued equipment clean and in good condition at all times.
  • Perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks including entering confined spaces.
  • Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials as defined in the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Perform other inspection department duties assigned by Operations.
  • Exercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified by Coastal Gulf & International.
  • Attend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas inspection procedures, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials transportation, and other safety training required by applicable regulations.
  • Inspectors must be ready to accept job assignments at any time and must be willing to work on an on-call basis.
  • Read and understand all job and safety requirements in English.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • Experience with NDT
  • API 570 Certification
  • Must have internal and external customer service skills.
  • Candidate must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Have a great work history with a track record of being responsible individual.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • TWIC card required.
  • IFIA certification preferred.

This position is performed inside and outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.

  • Being under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the blending and manufacturing of finished products including; quality tests of finished products, proper documentation, packaging of finished products to either tank/tote/drum/pail, stocking finished product in the stock location, and maintaining awareness of environmental and health safety.
