Petroplan are assisting a major client of ours in the search for an Operations Leader for a terminal to work on a Permanent basis.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the safe, efficient and reliable operations of the terminal. Whilst also managing stakeholder engagements and ensure performance optimisation is met.

Selected candidates will need to have a proven ability within a supervisory/leadership capacity in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical roles. This individual will also possess strong technical knowledge in terminal operations (import, export, and storage of liquid hydrocarbons).

  • Salary: Dependent on Experience

Petroplan are recruiting for an experience Mechanical Engineer for a leading Refinery in Sweden

Profile

The successful candidate has a good knowledge and understanding of Mechanical equipment and have hand-on knowledge and several years of experience within a process industry. Your experience must include a strong knowledge and understanding of all static equipment like Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Piping, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Flares and Valves. You should hold an Engineer BSc degree or has equivalent work experience and training. You should be familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as JDE, SAP or Maximo. Today you probably have a similar position at a production plant or work as a Maintenance or Service Engineer in a process or heavy industry.

Key responsibilities

  • The Static Equipment Engineer will be a subject matter expert and have strong experience in design, root cause analysis, brownfield modifications, equipment and materials specifications and standards, you must understand the risks associated with mechanical equipment integrity within an operating process facility.
  • Be responsible for the review and management of equipment and maintenance data within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (JDE)
  • Identify and investigate equipment performance, and contribute to equipment reliability.
  • Develop and apply best practices for installation and maintenance of Static Mechanical equipment.
  • Be responsible for the Preventive Maintenance for Static Mechanical equipment.
  • Be a proactive team member within the Maintenance Technology team.
  • Closely cooperate and support the Mechanical Workshop and other organizational departments.
  • Maintain documentation and asset management systems.

Key Attributes

  • Ideally 5 years Mechanical engineering experience
  • Downstream projects experience
  • Ideally Fluent in English and Swedish

Our client is seeking an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Integrity Engineer to join their team in Hampshire on a permanent basis. The client are an international oil and gas operator, with this role working at their major UK oil terminal.

Overview:

The EC&I Integrity Engineer will identify standards, define strategy, and ensure compliance with corporate standards for Electrical Power, Control and Safety Instrumented Systems for Fuels UK operated Terminals.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience as an EC&I Engineer in the Oil & Gas or Chemical industry
  • Must have good knowledge of Electrical distribution systems, control systems, and ATEX.
  • An advantage to have knowledge of Terminals and the handling and storage of bulk petroleum products.

Qualifications:

Chartered Electrical and/or Control Systems Engineer with the appropriate professional organisation.

Sr. Instrument Engineer

Petroplan's client, a leading downstream development group is looking to add a Sr. Instrument Engineer to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the Safety Instrumented System functions safely, efficiently, and reliably, with the objective of meeting business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment down time.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Instrument and Controls Engineering team
  • Subject Matter Expert on Instrumentation, Safety Instrumented Systems, Fire and Gas Systems and Process Control
  • Responsible for the Safety Instrumented System (SIS) validation, review, and configuration changes, together with development/review of SIS processes and procedures
  • Review and develop where necessary maintenance routines and procedures for Instrumentation and SIS systems
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Participation in HAZOPs and HAZIDs as required
  • Provide final check and approval of detail instrument and electrical design drawings, as well as instrument specification sheets


Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrument, Controls, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • 10 years direct experience with process control automation systems (DCS and PLC) and/or instrumentation/electrical design or experience in Instrumented Protective Systems, in an LNG Export/Import or petrochemical manufacturing facility
  • Experience with Honeywell DCS
  • Functional Safety Professional (FSP) or Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) preferred
  • Licensed P.E. preferred

This role is accountable for ensuring the Electrical System, from 138kV to Low Voltage, functions safely, efficiently, and reliably, with the objective of meeting business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment down time.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Electrical Engineering team
  • Review Power System Model updates
  • Review and verification of application of relays, schematic diagrams, equipment ratings and protection documents
  • Owner of Electrical Operating Philosophies, Electrical Operations Manuals, maintenance strategies and procedures for Electrical systems
  • Participation in HAZOPs and HAZIDs as required
  • Update short circuit studies, coordination studies, and Arc Flash Hazard assessments
  • Maintain Power System Models and proactively monitor the electric utility grid configuration


Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • 15 years direct experience with HV and MV electrical power systems and HV Cable Systems, application and programming of Protective Relays
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, Safety in Design, and Safety in the field
  • Licensed P.E. preferred

Controls Engineer

My client is a leading downstream processing facility located far south of Houston, TX. They are looking to bring on an experienced Controls Engineer to join the team to work at one of their facility and help assist with both commissioning and ongoing operations. This role will be a permanent full-time opportunity. Please see the details below regarding the responsibilities and requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on controls systems and equipment
  • Conduct various function testing on equipment/systems for troubleshooting
  • Proficient with hardware and software components of DCS systems, particularly Honeywell systems, will be serving as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Identify areas of concern, risk, and/or improvement
  • Interface with other engineers and operations
  • Assist and develop of compliance with site and corporate standards, as well as local, state and federal codes/regulations.
  • Manage various task and duties at any given time

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, or related
  • Work experience can be supplemented in lieu of degree
  • 7-10 plus years of related experience in the design and implementation of process control systems.
  • Must have knowledge of basic control system hardware, software, and applications
  • Strong communication skills
