CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

They are looking to bring on board a well versed Maintenance Technician to help with maintenance of there CNC machines and equipment. This role is a permanent, full time opportunity with overtime. Job Duties

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including CNC Machines and facilities
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance on CNC machines and equipment and ensure timely completion using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Execute regular work orders assigned by the maintenance management system
  • Analyze common trends in equipment malfunctions to help better prevent issues from happening
  • Keep active track of spare parts
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working on CNC Machines, Okuma, Mazak, Doosan preferred
  • Experience/knowledge of CNC process such as operating and setups
  • Basic Knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic systems required, basic knowledge in electrical systems preferred

  • Must be IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association) trained / competent with all valid Certificates available on request

  • Good understanding of practical and theoretical principles of all Electrical / Instrument Hazardous Areas equipment
  • Educated to NVQ / SVQ or equivalent standard and completion of a recognised apprenticeship scheme

  • Previous experience and willing to undertake Isolating Authority duties for 'Own Electrical Isolations' as per competency systems

  • You will become a super user for the Bullhorn system and integrations, supporting on any issues raised through the helpdesk and the Digital and Systems Analyst.

  • Support with the rollout of system change training. E.g. any enhancements to core systems

What skills will you need to have?

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for product design, testing and manufacturing process. This involves initial design and prototyping, calculation overview, design for manufacturing, qualification, documentation, R&D and manufacturing.
  • Review and maintain quality standards in all processes and documentation ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Verify existing test methods and develop new efficient tools and tests.
  • Oversee all staff involved in manufacturing and design process for specific products to ensure quality standards are met and adherence to production schedules.
  • Guide and assist team under product banner, such as R&D, Design, Sales and Manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or qualified Mechanical Engineering Technologist with experience.

  • APEGA registration as P.Eng is preferred.
  • Proficient is design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
