Petroplan is seeking a Mechanical Lead to maintain the mechanical equipment (static and rotating) of a commercial gas-to-liquids plant to the required standards, ensuring that predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance of production and infrastructure systems and equipment is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical contract resources to schedule, plan and execute all site maintenance in coordination with Operations and in compliance with JuniperSP HSE procedures, relevant safety and environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Direct activities of maintenance in support of plant operations.
  • Develop relationships with local contractors and specialists to support the maintenance of the plant.
  • Ensure a cost-effective repair of process equipment, valves, actuators, motors and pumps with in-house or local resources.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain records and reports, including Process Safety Management (PSM) records.
  • Create maintenance procedures to include predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to plant breakdowns and to quickly diagnose faults and commence repair in conjunction with Operations.
  • Able to perform task wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face mask, goggles, boots etc.
  • Perform those tests and measurements necessary to determine asset integrity and asset
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Theses activates include but not limited to solving operational, maintenance, and reliability problems, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and/or replacements of equipment
  • Maintains both regulatory and non-regulatory maintenance records. Performs work reports/updates via our CMMS database
  • Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and facility operation. This is accomplished via feedback on work performed
  • Provides support for work planning and scheduling
  • Other duties assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum five-ten years' experience in maintenance field in a gas, chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge/skill in respect to CMMS tools and their development and application
  • Must be prepared to work the extended hours as necessary and to participate in a call-in process.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of third-party technicians.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical integrity requirements outlined in process safety management standards.
  • A proven track record of successful day to day maintenance as well as shutdown/turnaround
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Senior Loss Prevention

HSE Technical advisory for projects; providing inputs along with advising projects and proposals in all HSE aspects considering the life cycle of the oil & gas facilities. The HSE aspects shall include safety studies, risk reduction, facility siting, fire protection, firefighting, operational safety, compliances to codes and standards. Championing and leading the HSE aspects of the projects by anticipating the HSE risks and mitigation. Reviewing documents of other disciplines to ensure the dissemination of HSE requirements in various deliverables that impact HSE assurance of the projects. Preparing technical proposals for HSE aspects of oil and gas projects.

HSE Engineering & Fire Protection Engineering; rationalize, engineer, design and lead hazardous area classifications, fire water system, inert gas fire protection system, fire and gas detection system, escape route and emergency system and other HSE Deliverables.

PHA & Safety Studies; rationalize, define the scope of study, technical bid evaluation, facilitate (as required) safety studies including, HAZID (ENVID / OHID), HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FERA, EERA and others.

Main Responsibilities

  • Advice various disciplines to incorporate the HSE Requirements in the design
  • Advice on the requirements for Process Safety Studies for various oil and gas projects
  • Supervise, advice and prepare of scope of work for Process Safety Studies including HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, SIL, Bow tie analysis, PHSER, EIA, CFD Blast analysis, Smoke & Gas dispersion studies, Fire & Gas Mapping Studies etc. facilitate Process Safety Studies as required
  • Supervise, prepare/review Inquiry Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations of third party project safety reviews and ensure procurement according to project specifications and within budgeted cost
  • Review and interpret meaning full conclusions of HSE reports such as HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, SIL, Bow tie analysis, PHSER, EIA, CFD Blast analysis, Smoke & Gas dispersion studies, Fire & Gas Mapping Studies etc
  • Organize and lead internal project safety reviews i.e. HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, etc
  • Prepare/Review HSE Designs Philosophies, Fire and Gas Philosophy, HAZOP & HAZID reports, FRA, Consequence Analysis Reports, Fire and Explosion Reports, Risk assessment Reports, Emergency Evacuation analysis, Flare radiation analysis, noise studies and other risk assessment reports
  • Prepare/Supervise Loss Prevention deliverables such as PFD's, P&IDs, Fire Fighting and safety Equipment Datasheets, Specifications and others
  • Prepare/Supervise Loss Prevention deliverables such as Hydrant & Monitor location layout, Fire Fighting and Safety Equipment Layout, Escape Route and Safety Signs Layout, Passive Fire Protection Layout, Fire & Gas Cause & Effect Matrix, Passive Fire Protection Schedule
  • Prepare/Supervise gaseous firefighting systems
  • Prepare/Supervise sizing of water spray, Fire water Hydrant and sprinkler & foam systems
  • Prepare/Supervise Hazardous Area Classification Schedule, Hazardous Area Classification Drawings
  • Review Cause and Effect Diagram, shutdown and blow down philosophies
  • Carry out site visits to client facilities as required
  • Undertake studies or other assigned tasks related to safety management or loss prevention/fire prevention engineering



Technical Experience

  • Minimum of 12-15 years' experience in safety and loss prevention in a hydrocarbon producing or engineering consultancy with experience of working on Onshore, Offshore and pipeline projects.
  • Leading internal project safety reviews sessions i.e. HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.
  • Using common tools (PC programs) for consequence analysis including jet fire, pool fire, toxic dispersion, flammable dispersion, and explosive overpressure.

Lead Commissioning Engineer
The Lead Commissioning Engineer works closely and coordinates with other groups within and outside Client Establishment to prepare and execute a complete commissioning plan which includes;

  • Developing Company mechanical completion manual.
  • Developing and implementing mechanical completion and Commissioning procedures Project by Project.
  • Resource planning for each project.
  • Developing and implementing handover procedures.



Educational Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience profile
15 years varied Instrumentation/Electrical/System design, installation hook up and commissioning.
Working knowledge and experience in offshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices and of international standards and specifications including various equipment certifications.
Experience in instrumentation, Electrical, Control systems including Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC).
Hands on Mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and Commissioning experience.
Offshore experience (required to work for offshore for short term and long periods).
Working knowledge of various control system manufactures/supplies including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Emerson, Invensys and the various types of Control systems they provide such as Control Logix.
Knowledge of safety procedures for commissioning such as Permit to Work, Lock out Tag out (LOTO) and familiarity with Process Safety management, mechanical completions.
Competencies / Skills / Others
Effective verbal and written English language communication skills ensuing effective report writing skills.
Comfortable to communicate, with the ability to influence, with personnel of all levels whilst working in a remote and multi-cultured environment.
Instrumentation selection and DCS, PLC and Human Machine Interface (HMI) Programming skills.
Proficient in various software/hardware development and trouble shooting skills.
Leadership skills to deputise for senior personnel (group Manager or Lead Engineers) at times when not available in the office.

This is a heavy travel, client facing role, which you are responsible for providing excellent customer service and work on equipment such as GC, LC, MS, Physical Properties, and Spectroscopy instruments according to ASTM methods.


Field Service Engineer - Analyzer Instrumentation Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer training and phone support
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibration, and record testing and verification of all functions
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment
  • Pre-commissioning activities including system checkout, loop checks, and communication testing
  • Tests and tunes company product including machinery testing, control loop tuning and troubleshooting
  • Uses computerized equipment, test equipment, and software to perform testing functions
  • Manages assigned inventory for repairs to ensure accuracy and proper documentation for transfer before and after assigned service call
  • Responsible for Simulated Distillation, Refinery gas Analysis, Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis, Supercritical Fluid Chromatography etc


Field Service Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
