Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist will be required to work with the technical and functional specialists to draft standard contract templates where the clients are providing services to its clients, including developing contract structures and conditions of contract for use across wide range of service lines.


The Contract Specialist will also participate in the risk review process preparing the risk review documentation in conjunction with the bid team sponsors and bid team leaders.


They will attend the risk review meetings to provide senior management with an overview of the contract structure, risks and proposed mitigations.


The successful applicant will have a Law degree and experience in a similar role viewing, negotiating and drafting client contracts.


Must have knowledge and experience of contract terms in drilling/well management, platform operations and maintenance.


The successful candidate should have the ability to work independently and have excellent communication and presentation skills, they should have the ability to work under own initiative and meet tight deadlines and have good negotiations skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Transmits change orders to contractors for execution
  • Clears Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt issues on Purchase Orders

Requirements:

Contracts Specialist - Houston

Petroplan is currently accepting applications for a Contract Specialist to join a market leading Oil & Gas company here in Houston, TX. This position is long term. Prospective candidates MUST have previous or current experience in SAP, creating PO's and creating RFP's in Ariba. Prospective candidates will also be helping out with pulling more data from SAP, identifying list of suppliers to be considered and process flows when needed.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with business and suppliers to develop Scopes of Work using existing template from proposals. Ensure properly documented in Ariba
  • Create and negotiate new CWA (Contingent Workforce Agreement) with existing suppliers
  • Assist with Ariba Clean-up effort
  • Create, monitor, amend, renew, and close contracts


Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience within Contract's Department
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced knowledge in the following; SAP, creating PO's, Ariba for creating RFP's and category strategies
  • Ability to work in within the US

  • Setting up the planning control systems for sanctioned projects

  • Coordinating integrated schedules, deliverable's and key milestones across multiple teams or rig lines.


Requirements:

  • 6 years of major project planning experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Related Fields
  • PMP Certification is a PLUS
  • Offshore topsides brownfield experience
  • Subsea project experience in Gulf of Mexico
  • Understands Project planning principles, project controls, relationships and constraints with other functions and sites and activities

Supply & Logistics Deputy Section Manager is to assist Section Manager and DGD in charge of Commercial in his responsibilities for supply and logistics of petroleum products, petrochemicals products and other works assigned by DGD in charge and Section Manager. Upon the Commercial Division is established, he will take the roles of commercial deputy manager.


For this position, minimum works are as follows:

  • Guide, direct and motivate subordinates including the setting and monitoring of performance standards and assessing training needs in association with the Human Resources Section.
  • Provide support on all matters relating to supply and logistics of products and shipping activities.
  • Provide an efficient integrated auditing system, aimed at ensuring adherence to the company policy, as well as to continuously identify possible system and performance improvements.
  • Assist in the development of departmental objectives, policies, strategies and procedures.
  • Assess the qualifying of outside services, employees and contractors to ensure competence and compliance to the required job requirements and specification


Educational Level

  • A bachelor's degree in foreign trade, economy or degree of engineer in petroleum/petrochemical industry or equivalent.
  • Min 10 years' experience in supply & logistics, especially for petroleum / petrochemical business or equivalent.


Specialty/Qualification

  • Be familiar with all Government regulations, applicable company policies and procedures for Refinery.
  • Having experience in trading, supply and logistics for petroleum products, petrochemicals products or crude oil or relevant.
  • Having experience in preparation of workflows, procedures, manuals.
  • Having knowledge of marine facilities design and experience in management of tanker operation, refinery feedstock, products.
  • Having experience in shipping market and tanker chartering.


Skills

  • Capability in negotiation of products sale agreement and tanker charter party. Ability to convince offtakers and spot buyers.
  • Strong decision making abilities under pressure and innovative to generate new ideas.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to teach skills to freshmen and exhibit patience.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
